  1. Poll: Re: Another Comparison of the Howtek VS V850

Steve, DId you ever check which (height) adjustment on the V850 film holder is the sharpest? Did you use it? I was surprised to find that it makes a difference that's pretty noticeable. I have...
  2. Poll: Re: Another Comparison of the Howtek VS V850

The second is sharper. What sharpening was done on both? Other adjustments?

I like Steichen. He was more upscale and glamorous. The physical prints looked that way too. Those times have apparently passed. Too bad.

Nice shot Gabe. I've shot BW and color and often find that I get better tones converting from color. Lightroom allows lightening and darkening individual colors to change their tones. So you can be...

  9. Re: What small lightweight lens for 4x5 backpacking?

Otto, I see you use Chamonix holders as I do (I use 4x5). Have you figured out a good place to stick notes on them as to type of film, labelling, etc?

The spots look like fungus. Why assume the shutter works properly since the rest of the lens appears to be in poor shape? Did the owner take care of it?

Are you taking a lightweight tripod?

Never saw that on my V600. I use Epsonscan. Maybe you should try to uninstall and reinstall your software with the latest software downloaded from Epson site.
