I do follow a schedule of using the shutters on a regular basis. I do that also for my MF camera's and lenses.
I store lenses dust free and in the dark. I don't have all lens caps, but I put the...
35mm Digital, 6x6, 6x7, 6x8, 4x5" and 8x10"
Often scouting with digital, then I come back with film.
Very selective in 8x10", can't remember even one that I wasn't content with this format.

Yes it does need disassembly, I've always been a huge fan of Arca-Swiss, the compact build and precision.
This is a cool looking bag! And very easy for handling. Nowadays I shoot in good weather only, and carry the Sinar P2 8x10" just as it is. The tripod in the other hand, film holders and other stuff...
Having lost my mother, she was 93, makes me wonder. So much photography we did together for 55 years, pictures on the walls.
Now, only for me, doesn't appeal to me anymore.
Other things do, even...
This is a great thread to follow, I have an even older Technika, and soon much time to inspect it better. Your pictures are helpful!
If you're looking at Arca Swiss Orbital, you might as well consider Sinar. I love the geared yaw free focusing over a plane of the Sinar P2.
Heavy, but it doesn't stop me from walking fair distances...
We're everywhere it seems! Have a good time here.
Former military exercise grounds. This area is now left to itself. Ektar 100, Fuji 360mm f16, front tilted a bit. Sinar P2 8x10"211111
Selfie from 2000. 8x10" Kodak E100VS. Loved the colors of that film.211028
No, ready to go bags for each format. I have a small list of items to add: light meter, film, the Sinar shutter (is always on the 4x5") if using 8x10".
In general, I have and use the Sinar reflex viewfinder on the P2.
I second what helios said, I prefer the upside down image, it's more abstract and that helps me with finding a balanced...
Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond we're in total lockdown. All shops closed except those that sell food. No restaurants, no cinema, no Zoo, inside or outside your house only with two together,...
With 8x10" the dark slide, with 4x5" everything, umbrella, hands, hat, myself.
I too am a user of this one. When walking I take three film holders with me in it. At home I put the rest in it. It holds 10.
This really looks the best of classical photography, the remaining last masterpieces. But they're recent, love this! It's great to see you making the effort to work with the slow and cumbersome old...
I used 54 Polaroid 100 ISO. (B&W). Didn't get the whole image, chemicals where not what and where they used to be. Expired 2006. But fun to use it all though.
I use a Stealth Gear cart, in the largest Think Tank Trunk, meant for video, I can fit easily a Sinar P2 8x10" and three lenses and a few filmholders, and all the rest I need in the field. 205314
LF is not for horse races, I've never been in a situation that I needed a faster shutter speed than 1/60. In landscapes, even longer times. I am aware that fast shutter times could be unreliable, so...
Indeed front tilt, but putting you film holder vertical makes it more difficult to obtain Scheimplug's planes. You are going to need even more front tilt. It is mandatory if you want to retain the...
Great images!
Road that has been used for too long, renewed in 2017/2018. Now this road is perfect!201143
For these I've never noticed dust or fabric comes off the cloth.
If you want something beautiful, go for 'Wanderer', https://www.wandererphotogear.com/
Sorry for that loss... and in your image even the tree on the right bows for him.
Today Kodak Alaris announced release within 10 days for 120 and 4x5".
4x5" shooters are not all shooting on 8x10", and vice versa.
So looking at 4x5" sales could not be telling the whole truth...
Go with the average the meter gives you, but as you know what that will do for your highlights or shadows, adjust accordingly. Or handle (part of it) it in the darkroom, when developing the film, I...
I do like the contrasting colors and the depth. Another excellent one Steven!
Giovanni, you really let this format shine !
That would be a 3 series tripod from Gitzo. By the looks of it, this seems a video head.
I use Nikon, Fuji and Rodenstock for 8x10". Rodenstock and Schneider-Kreuznach for 4x5" as I happen to stumble upon those, not by choice or meaning.
All lenses produce an image that I like and...
Again very beautiful gcap!
Wow gacp those are wonderful images, makes you look for a while.
Great link! I'd like to try that, just for fun.
I use soft pouches and label the cord. Works fast and no parts that can go missing.
With your type of photography, it's not going to happen to compete on price, your costs are too high.
Better focus on just covering the cost and as a start, if you don't depend on this for your...
The first one shows a lot of different things and a sense of height, I like that best.
Welcome to new discoveries, latent, to be developed.
Stephane, great images!
