  1. Re: Lens Comparison: 135mm 4.7 Xenar and 135mm 4.5 Heliar

The best way to make comparisons is to make them equal. Same film, same exposure, same camera position, same subject, same processing, etc. you have not posted a viable comparison.

  4. Re: Lens Comparison: 135mm 4.7 Xenar and 135mm 4.5 Heliar

The two shots were also taken at different ratios. The image areas are different. Should have been done on a tripod.

When the 2000 and 3000 became available they simply changed the name of the rangefinder model to Master Technika Classic.
Before that it was just the Master Technika.

There were no Rodenstock 35, 45 or 55mm Grandagon lenses. Those were the Apo Grandagon series. Proper names are always more useful if one was to look them up.

    Re: Chamonix vs. Xxxxx?

Drew, the manufacturers state that the cf goes directly on the lens. If you want to do things the wrong way feel free. But don’t tell others to follow bad advice.

    Re: Chamonix vs. Xxxxx?

Filters should never be mounted between a lens and a cf. the center filter belongs directly on the lens. Unless you don’t want the cf to have the proper effect.
