Re: Cleaning A Lens of Fog

First you grind the coating off, equally across the lens, then you redcoat it. As grinding itself will modify the lens surface donít expect it to perform like originally. Also this is not a diy...

    Re: Linhof Serial Numbers

Contact Precision Camera in IL or Laflex in CA. They will know exactly what you need and install the correct bellows correctly. I was never a service technician.
  11. Re: Advise of repairing/replacing Bellows on a Linhof Tech IV

If it was a IV then Linhof would not list it as a lll and it would take current boards, have front forward lens tilts and not be covered in black. A lll is a lll!

    Re: Xenotar 150mm/2.8 cap sizes?

If it is threaded or a snap cap it is the thread size.
If it is push on it is the front diameter of the lens.
If it is bayonet it is the bayonet size of the lens.
  14. Re: Opinion About FotodioX Pro Right Angle View Finder Hood for 4x5 Linhof Cameras

Over the years they made two, as I answered above.
Yes, it mounts like the hood. But you do need the fresnel.
  15. Re: Opinion About FotodioX Pro Right Angle View Finder Hood for 4x5 Linhof Cameras

Be aware, there were 2 different versions. The later, current one, is black and has 2 pieces that join together. The earlier version is an off white or cream color and is one piece. The 2 piece...
  16. Re: Opinion About FotodioX Pro Right Angle View Finder Hood for 4x5 Linhof Cameras

The Sinar was a Linhof accessory but itís weight, combined with the pressure caused when looking into it, pulled the gg away from the film plane so the adapter was discontinued in the 80s.
  17. Re: Opinion About FotodioX Pro Right Angle View Finder Hood for 4x5 Linhof Cameras

Why would you think that it would take so long to get? Have you checked with the Linhof distributor to see if it is in stock?

  19. Re: Recommendations for a general purpose lens for a Calumet 4x5?

So for 35 you like a ďnormalĒ lens but on 120 a portrait length.

The most popular normal lens for 45 is the 150mm. Maybe you should start there.

Having been the Linhof distributor since the...

Re: What is anti-Newton ring glass exactly

Image wonít be blurred if one has AN glass on the bottom but it could be slightly diffused. After all, Gepe made medium format glass mounts and some had AN glass on both sides.
