  1. Re: ChromaGraphica Double Dry Plate Holder Kickstarter - Friday 9 August 2019 Noon la

And, Jason. Just checked the tracking a few minutes ago and mine is Out for Delivery. Yay!!
  2. Re: ChromaGraphica Double Dry Plate Holder Kickstarter - Friday 9 August 2019 Noon la

Has anybody in the western USA received a 4x5 holder, yet? According to the shipping notice I received, mine was shipped a couple of weeks ago and, according to the tracking info, it hasn't budged...

Re: 8x10 Camera + Accessories: Advice

Regarding shooting 8x10 Polaroid in the field, it's basically a one-shot deal. You load the holder, expose, but I believe it now has to be processed. I've thought about 8x10 Polaroid for years, but...

Re: Dark patches on negatives; SP 445

I agree that it looks like insufficient agitation. I invert my SP-445 and have never seen anything like this on my negs. If inversion doesn't totally resolve the issue, I'd suggest a pre-rinse, too....

Re: Expiration time for Ilford photo paper

I have stored both fixed and mutigrade papers in the freezer for 40+ years and have never noticed any issues with paper that was 10+ years old. Once it's out of the freezer, I tend to use a box...
  7. Re: Beginner-friendly developer for 8x10 HP5 and Tri-X in 8x10"

HC-110 would fit your needs well. It's the only developer I've used for LF Tri-X for 40 years.

Re: How does rear tilt affect front tilt?

In find this an interesting conversation in that after 40+ years of LF photography (4x5 and 8x10) I've used both rear and front tilt, but never together. I guess I just never came across anything in...

Re: Pyrocat HD Stain & Base Fog

Yep, that's what mine looks like. If you use the normal dilution ratio, there will always be a bit of general stain like on the unexposed edges of the film.
  12. Re: Neutral Density Filters with V54 Cold Light head

Do that all the time and I've never noticed any concerning issues.
  13. Re: quick review on Shanghai 4x5 film (processed as negative and positive)

Found this to be true with 120 roll film. Nowadays, I use a hardening fixer and haven't had any emulsion damage since.

Re: Stearman Press leaking like crazy

  19. Re: PYROCAT-MC in GLYCOL user info appreciated.
