  1. Re: Bellows Extension Factor & Flash Photography

Yes correct, for clarity, I am just shooting still objects.

Are the only exposure controls left just my aperture and flash power?

So if I needed for example +2 stops from my bellows...
  2. Re: Bellows Extension Factor & Flash Photography

Yes, acquainted with the inverse square law.

The long and short of it is, if I wanted to stick to my aperture for creative reasons, that means the only control I have is flash power correct? So...
  3. Bellows Extension Factor & Flash Photography

    Hello,

I am starting to get a handle on using strobes with my indoor photography and I wanted to ask people in the forum how you work in your bellows ext. factor (and other exposure...
  4. Re: Strobes, Lighting, Metering, and Digital 'Polaroids'

Thanks will do a search for old threads.

What digital camera do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Also, do you find a big difference in exposure values when plugging in digital camera values...
  5. Strobes, Lighting, Metering, and Digital 'Polaroids'

    Hello,

I recently shifted to using Broncolor strobes for my indoor work.

I wanted to ask two things:

    1. Using a flash meter and measuring light, how do you go about dictating the aperture...

    LF Flash Sync

    Hello,

Planning on having two broncolor power packs and about 4 lamps to start using strobes for my still life set ups.

How can I effectively trigger my lampheads with sync cords?

    Invisible Marks on Negatives

I discovered something earlier while cleaning up after a platinum printing session.

I usually fire up my UV box just to check it before I put it away, while doing so in the dark, ambient UV from...

  11. Lampheads, Powerpacks, & Still Life Photography

    Hello!

I'm relatively new to using flash lighting whilst using my 8x10 camera.

  12. Re: 8x10 Wide Angle Lenses for Still Life

So theoretically wanting to make things bigger with bellows draw + a shorter focal length should work yeah? 1.5-2:1?

  13. Re: 8x10 Wide Angle Lenses for Still Life

Essentially to better maximise bellows draw and magnification—though I am not sure if there will be any distortions caused by using a wide angle lens as I've never had one for LF.

Pyrocat HD Stain & Base Fog

    Hello,

Just wanted to seek opinions from fellow photographers who use Pyrocat HD.

I typically develop 8x10 HP5 in Pyrocat HD (1+1+100) using a Stark SST4 Rotary Processor—I develop with the...
