    I occasionally cut down my film but I have never felt the need for any night vision equipment. A good quality paper cutter is all I use.

    and a final rinse in a tray with a couple of drops of photoflo or another wetting agent helps prevent water spots or other drying marks :)

    I carry a 5x7 nagaoka along with a 180 and 240 fujinon A in kelty backpack
    to keep the weight down usually I don't take with me more than three or four holders

    I don't know about the mac mini, but I'm running CS3 on a macbook air (1.6GHz core2duo w/ 2GB ram) and it can easily handle an 8bit 2400dpi scan of 5x7 transparency (about 600MB)

    the 450c is certainly a great lens, unfortunately I just don't have enough bellows (about 330mm)
    and even using an extension lensboard is probably not feasable. to focus it at 2mt I would need to...

    I bought some HP5+ film from RobertWhite which was shipped via UPS (1Z 8W2 047 66 4079 742 0)
    When tracking the shipment on their website I discovered that they had x-rayed my package.
