    Re: Avedon

No, it was very easy. The assistant was shooting withm his Mamyia TLR with them75mm lenses but Avedon used the the Rollei 2.8 f with the 80mm Planar.
Enough stray light came off the high key...

  5. Re: Mystery paper: Supre-Print ultra-rapid process stabilization paper

Just what the label says. You need an old stabilization processor. Donít know if they have been made since the 70s. I had the Ilford in the late 60s. The chemistry was so corrosive that it would eat...

Re: Imagon 250 compound copal exchange?

The ones that we imported from Rodenstock were a direct fit. You unscrewed the lens bar from the rear of its tube and it screwed directly into the rear of the 3 shutter. You involved the trim ring...

    Re: Ground glass questions

Are you trying to say that you have a ground glass plus a separate fresnel plus one of the cheap fresnel sheets?

That simply isnít the correct way to set up a camera if that is how you did it.

  9. Re: Should I get a center filter for my 65mm Nikon-SW f/4 & 90mm Sinaron-W f/6.8?

Very doubtful. A renter pays for mistreatment.
  10. Re: Excited and Stoked, 4x5 Black Edition Intrepid

Your not wrong but it is corrected for medium format digital imaging. Optimal aperture is f8 rather then f22 as the film versions were. It also covers a much smaller image circle.
  11. Re: Excited and Stoked, 4x5 Black Edition Intrepid

Congratulations, but that Apo Sironar Digital is not a film lens and you will barely cover 45 film with it.

  13. Re: Should I get a center filter for my 65mm Nikon-SW f/4 & 90mm Sinaron-W f/6.8?

Rental centers usually kept better care of their equipment then sole owners. The terms of their rental contract made the renter liable for damage and all equipment was inspected and cleaned before...

    Re: Flash Firing Before Shutter?

Do it at any speed. A properly synced shutter and flash will result in a bright white circle. It is best to do this at a high shutter speed as synch is more critical there then at low or middle...
  20. Re: Any telephoto (360mm or above) recommendations for a 4x5 (TK45S)?

Sironar, Symmars and similar have too large a rear element to fit.
  21. Re: Any telephoto (360mm or above) recommendations for a 4x5 (TK45S)?

Tele Arton, not Tele Artar. Sorry for confusion.
  22. Re: Any telephoto (360mm or above) recommendations for a 4x5 (TK45S)?

20”. A Tele Arton was a higher quality Schneider Tele ens then the Tele Xenar.
  23. Re: Should I get a center filter for my 65mm Nikon-SW f/4 & 90mm Sinaron-W f/6.8?

The reason is that the center filter will not have any effect until you stop down at least two stops.
  24. Re: Any telephoto (360mm or above) recommendations for a 4x5 (TK45S)?

Tele Artar, Tele Xenarthra, Apo Ronar, etc. Symmars, Sironars and similar designs will not fit onto the camera due to the size of the rear barrel being too large to fit through the hole in the front...

Re: Chamonix 57N + Technika Lens Board

That does not look like a current Technika lens board for a 45 Technika. It looks like an old board for a Technika lll which will not fit Technika IV and later models or LInhof clones.

That should have been the last of them. They made maybe ten of them and none after the war. If I remember correctly the first was made for Hitlerís photographer, so he may have had two of them.
