Good morning. New to developing C41 here.
I know of course that B&W requires different development times etc….. but it appears that I can develop a mix of c41 rolls under a developer kit such as...
When I was part of a local photo center some years back, I used the heck out of their jobo CPP2 processor. Well, with C-41(mixed from Kodak bulk chemistry), I found that using a pre-soak(tap water)...
I pre-wash my B&W about 5 min in my Jobo processor. Any recommendations for C-41 please? Thank you.
Yep. That was it Erik. Thank you!
Good morning.
I have two brand new light-tight funnels going into two separate JOBO cog tanks. Neither will snap into place.
Is there a special trick I’m not aware of? Now, they just lay in the...
No, one based off of my own reading. TY
Can anyone please recommend a good pinhole calculator app? (IPhone) Thank you.
Good day All. A while ago while crossing the forum somebody has suggested an excellent lab for development and scanning in the Rochester New York (I believe) area. Does anyone have any ideas because...
15% seems to be the consensus. However there are exceptions, I see one of them being if you prewash the film it does not have to be deducted off of your development time. I think I’m going to do that.
Good evening. I just purchased the massive dev chart app. Is there any adjustments that need to be made for when using a JOBO rotary system?
I thought the rotary process required less chemicals...
OP
You've mentioned both color and black-and-white negative film and color transparency film. Approaches are different for these three.
As mentioned above, the Zone System proper was developed...
Unfortunately I don’t understand this interneg. I’m using a Sekonic 358 with a 5 degree spot attachment. Thank you.
Thank you for the great response Neil. I’ve just ordered The New Zone System Manual, it wasn’t hard to find. When you say that your testing Ilford HP5 that the film speed is about 200, half the...
Hey guys. I just want to make sure I have at least a slight grasp on exposing for the zone system. Please chime in….
So, my meter (Using 5° spot) meters at 18% gray. Zone V. If I choose to meter...
It’s a damn shame what happening with these prices. I just looked up Grant Haist and volume one is going for $160
So, what did you decide? After a very disappointed eBay purchase of a used CPE-2 processor I just purchased a brand new CPE-3 from Catlabs and eagerly wait it’s delivery.
I owned the ATL-2000 and...
When reading “ Camera & Darkroom magazine” I became interested so I did a search. It appears that it not only be out of business but the price for used magazines is crazy.
Couldn’t agree with you more. And to think that you have to send in the entire thing to trouble shoot!
The CPP’s are still being made. I think that the CPE’s are phasing out.
They really are wonderful machines. Indeed, genius. I owned the ATL2000 about 10 years ago. Just amazing but I feel more at...
Just an FYI, the CPE-2 with the lift I purchased on eBay was damaged on its way to me. It was packed terribly. Basically the unit was had one layer of very thin bubble wrap and was thrown in a...
It comes down taking, leveraging the weight off of the section where the gears reside. I’m going to simply tie a rope at the end of the two silver bars and use that to take a majority of the weight.
Thanks Eric!
Honestly, that is a brilliant idea, thank you. However while scouring the Internet and checkin with Kat labs there are none available. However, with the same theory, why couldn’t I string a rope...
I hope each of you are having a fantastic day. I sure am! Here in NJ we’ve got two days of yuck.
I’m building my “darkroom.” Actually, it’s me sitting at the table with a dark bag and taking out...
Ahhhhh…. So you don’t bond the actual crack but build a casing over the casing? Like a tomb? Can I pick this up at a home big box store? Thank you!
Thanks Alan. I’m in Ocean county.
That’s good advice thank you. I’m embarking on developing my own c41 and bw but would rather not for e6.
Yep, I did buddy. His solution? Buy a new lift. (Can’t blame the guy)
Good day.
There’s unfortunately a relatively common problem with the JOBO CPE-2 lifts. The plastic female circular pieces (see attached) that holds the two lift rods break. It’s damn near...
I’ve used them extensively years ago. They’re still in business but it’s a hell trying to get a hold of them. I’ve left voicemails, emails and they’ve never answered my calls or emails. Anyone else?
