  3. Re: Schneider 210MM HM - Any Experiences / Image Examples

That's the issue with the SS-HM. The apples-to-apples comparison is with the 210 Apo-Sironar(-W), as both are specified as offering 80 degrees of coverage. But the SS-HM weighs 1510g in shutter,...

You might try contacting George Brown (seller "apogeebee" on eBay) to see whether he works on enlarger power supplies. He does work on heads - a few years back he CLA'd my 4500II dichroic head after...

  26. Re: Some naive questions about helicoid focusing for large-format

Yes, I think many of us figure out through experience some seat-of-the-pants approach that's "good enough" and lets us work quickly in the field.
  27. Re: Some naive questions about helicoid focusing for large-format

Understood, the issue that prompted your post is whether your helical is miscalibrated. How to use the scale effectively in practice once the calibration is correct is a separate question, but it...
  28. Re: Some naive questions about helicoid focusing for large-format

Re: High-Speed Sync for Speed Graphic

What Tobias said. The relevant parameter isn't the marked shutter speed, it's the curtain travel time, because that's the duration during which some part of the sensor or film is being exposed.
