    Re: Large Format Landscapes

I just started with a 4x5 and am learning tilts. I find that in shots like this it doesn;t work because the tree extends through the whole vertical leaving the tops of the trees out of focus. I...

Any special recommendations with Velvia 50?
  4. Re: E-Bay: What can I do If the buyer won't Pay?

Can you sell it to the second lowest bidder or do you have to rebid if the original bidder falls through?

    Re: Trail cart

Dan, I have something very similar. I find though that it tends to be weighted too much towards the rear. That makes it hard to get a good balance when pulling it. You have to drop the front...

  8. Re: Comparison of Howtek 8000 Resolve to Epson V850

I either scan No Color Correction and get a more dark image. Or I select Color COntrol but not Continuous Auto Exposure. The latter sets the histogram levels automatically. I leave that unchecked...
  9. Re: Comparison of Howtek 8000 Resolve to Epson V850

Epsonscan I believe applies a nominal gamma of 2.2 if you select it in COnfiguration tab. You can also ,selec a gamma of 1.8. I don't know what happens if you select No Color Correction.

Re: Prism Finder for Ebony Camera

Would it still work if you cut off the bottom of the finder. I realize that would let in light. But is that possible so that the finder would still connect properly and be otherwise effective?

Nice shots of the windmill and horse. What does FB mean? When you provide the dimensions 20x24 cm, what does that mean? Did you scan the print or what?

  25. Re: Is the obsession with analogue gearing an obstacle to art?

Forget about being an artist. That's up to the viewer to decide, not you. Just shoot and enjoy what you're shooting. If you're not having fun, then use other equipment and processes.

  26. Re: Howtek 8000 Drum vs. Epson V850 flatbed scanners

Yes, I was curious as to the difference between my new V850 and a drum scanner. That's why I spent the time to do this. It makes me feel confident that for my purposes right now, the V850 is fine. ...
