    Re: CatLabs 80 ASA Film

Can anyone confirm or deny with testing they have done, that this film is just Shanghai GP3 rebadged? Im aware its packaged in the same factory, as it uses the GP3 backing paper on 120 rolls. But...

    Re: 210mm F5.6 Lens For 8x10

Schneider lenses are even higher in price. Doesnt look like you can beat the Fuji from what I see so far. You can pick one up for $200.

    210mm F5.6 Lens For 8x10

Im just wondering if I overlooked an option or two, but is the old version of the Fujinon W 210mm f5.6 lens the only real option for 8x10 cameras, when price is considered? Or is there other known...

Re: Fujinon 300mm f5.6 and Lensboard

I took the flange off the old lens board. The holes in the flange seem like a #4 screw might be a good fit, so I ordered from Home Depot a bunch of 4 x3/8 wood screws. Cost was $3.33.

Re: Fujinon 300mm f5.6 and Lensboard

Got some info from another site. Apparently its mounted on a flange. Im told all I'd need is longer screws. What screws would you suggest for the Ansco wood board? The Ansco lens board is 1/2" thick.

    Fujinon 300mm f5.6 and Lensboard

I just received this lens off a Japanese seller on Ebay. I didn't notice it in the pictures, but this lens is mounted to the Toyo lens board via 4 screws instead of 1 retainer ring. Is this common...
  10. Re: CatLABS X film, from Freestyle - any user information?

There are rumors that Shanghai GP3 is the same film as Catlabs X80. Who you argue with will vary on this rumor if its true or not. I shot a roll of X80 on my medium format camera at 80 ISO and it was...
  11. Re: First Forey Into 8x10 Format/ Intrepid 8x10 Camera

Well I managed to get some film holders for the camera. I still need to get a 300mm lens yet. But I have an adapter to use my 4x5 lenses on the camera, if they work on it. I managed to get a couple...
  12. Re: CatLABS X film, from Freestyle - any user information?

I was the one who started that other thread. I wasn't conclusive on its look. Not enough people have used this film yet. I ended up getting 3 rolls of it in 120 (since 120 was all I could get at the...

  14. Re: First Forey Into 8x10 Format/ Intrepid 8x10 Camera

Re: Anyone Use Shanghai GP3 Film in 4x5 and 8x10

I had a comment from someone else, saying he had defects in the emulsion on his sheets of this film. So Quality control was suspect. Was suggested to stick with more common films.
