    I have shot there before and I have to disagree. At then end of the dunes there are big rolling dunes and little else. If you are looking for run of the mill shots this is the place to go.

    So far I have had very good results with arista.edu ultra 200 (fomapan 200). It is about a buck a sheet at freestyle. It is not Chinese though!

    I have had no problems mounting 8x10 with a clothes iron...
    For contact printing I use a plain piece of 1/4 inch glass, it is pretty heavy and holds everything together for 15$.

    velostigmat is a generic name so it is hard to say what the lens actually is. Knowing the aperture size and any other lens markings might help somewhat

    doing formica is easier than you think. You just need a router and special bit to cut it, you cut the piece,glue it on and then rout the edge. I think the glue is just a contact cement.

    I was just going to load them in the dark and then put them in a stainless pot with a top. Maybe drape a black cloth over for good measure.

    point source enlarging also increases contrast by a grade over a condenser enlarger. i have had a heckuva time trying to find information or equipment for this technique.

    They are perfectly good films. Efke 25 is still my film of choice. It's kind of weired reading stuff you posted 4 years ago.
    Give whatever you want to try a shot and you can work out any problems...

    For canada I have never had problems with USPS. For Europe/Asia I use USPS 'air letter' which is very inexpensive and again no problems.

    I have had bad experiences with UPS when shipping large items too. Most people don't realize this but fedex is equipped for handling really large stuff.
