1956 Technika lll. Not even close to a MT which was introduced almost 2 decades later. Unless the number is B511423. If so then that is a 1990 MT.

  10. Re: Tripod recommendation for a Wista 4x5 field with 300mm lens

Any good 2-way head should work. One with tension control on the tilt axis would be helpful.

  22. Re: Justify the acquiring of a new Linhof Technika?

LInhof only made one press camera in 45 and that was the Standard Press that Berkey wanted to compete against the Graphics in the USA. Since it was made to be a press camera it did not have back...

  29. Re: Justify the acquiring of a new Linhof Technika?

  31. Re: Which of my 5 LF lenses are worth keeping or worth upgrading?

You misunderstood me. If you use a 4x loupe on 45 you are seeing what to expect on a 16x20Ē print.
If you are having 810 prints made from a section of a large print you may easily be looking at more...

    Re: Process lens application?

Mark, 90% of all vertical process cameras used Rodenstock lenses. Horizontal process cameras used lenses from Nikon, Rodenstock, Schneider, etc..
  33. Re: Which of my 5 LF lenses are worth keeping or worth upgrading?

Thatís a bit confusing, if you are using a loupe itís magnification could be different then the print size you want.

  35. Re: Linhof Kardan Master TL/GTL - can parts be interchanged?

Re: An extra pane on my Tachihara

Normal gg positioning is the ground side faces the lens. Are you saying that yours faces the film.

  38. Re: Which of my 5 LF lenses are worth keeping or worth upgrading?

Much simpler is that you can not increase sharpness if your lens canít deliver it. But any lens can be made softer.
  39. Re: Which of my 5 LF lenses are worth keeping or worth upgrading?

To test it take shots of what you will use it for. If you will use it for copy work shooting a flat page from a newspaper is fine. If for landscapes test it on a landscape, etc..
