  2. Re: ChromaGraphica Double Dry Plate Holder Kickstarter - Friday 9 August 2019 Noon la

On the test holders I received, the dark slides were tight as well. I found they loosened up with use to a moderately tight feel that I prefer and designed for. In one of the updates I mentioned a...
  3. Re: Wet plate collodion spectral sensitivity?

Wet plate was UV and blue sensitive.

Tell your friend to set up the lenses for FdC lines and then it’s simply a focal shift for the UV & blue spectrum. Performance will be the same with slight...

    That’s a book style holder.

Btw there are three different half plate sizes that I’ve run across while making dry plates.

  8. Re: Fungus on antique Lens: Can it be fixed?

  9. Re: Exploring offering of black glass for ambrotypes, silver gelatin ambrotype kits.

Yes. Nominal thickness would be 1.5mm and as a "dry plate" i.e. dried silver gelatin emulsion coated on glass they'd work just like the J Lane Dry Plates from a loading and shooting perspective.

Re: Dark slide for too 810 film holder

You can order black vinyl or abs sheets off amazon and cut them to size. Make sure you get one of those materials, as others are not entirely opaque (you can see a flashlight shine through)
  13. Re: Critical height placement of ground glass

Gonna skip all the math and just say you should place the ground glass within +/- .005” of the film plane in a loaded holder relative to a common reference surface such as the lens board.
