    You can projection print a step wedge and contact print the same wedge. The difference between the two will show how much flare you have in your projection printing system.

    Either way, try a box of fresh film and see if the problem persists.

    If you are not buying new, make sure the bottom diffusion plastic is in perfect condition. Defects, damage, dirt and scratches on the plastic may show in your prints
