  1. Re: Stacking center filter with other filters

I used to mount the Pol filter behind the CF on my 72mm.

No issues as far as I could tell.
  2. Re: Lee Filters - anyone using these or Cokin et al squares?

Both Lee and Cokin produce horrible colour casts for positives. Very difficult to correct.

Companies like Kase, Nisi and Breakthrough have left them in the dust with newer optical coatings.
  3. Re: Grad ND, Contrast and Color FIlter Setup with Center Filter

When I had the same setup with a 90mm f5.6 (and the 72mm), I would simply Blutac the Grad in place.

    Re: Working with Carbon Fiber

Cut with a wet diamond saw. No dust issues. I’m rebuilding my 7x17 to have a lot of CF. Using a tile saw to cut the pieces. The blade has its own reservoir and dust isn’t an issue.

    FWIW, I’m...

    Re: Lee filter systems

The actual Lee filters have been well and truely bettered lately.

Both Nisi and Breakthrough filters outperform them in terms of colour casting and sharpness, especially in terms of ND/Grads.

    No idea, Randy. Mine’s reversed.

    Pre-soak - 2 minutes/Empty/3 minutes.

I do this as I believe that there is a significant possibility of uneven development on the (long) 7x17 sheets if dry. The pre-soak is a slight buffer to the...

Re: Epson V700 High Resolution lens

Didn’t the V750 also come with the wet mount system as standard?

I don’t think that the differentiation was solely based on the lens’ coating; it was a better “system” than the V700.
