Re: Direct negative with positive photo paper

Nice image Pedro! I’m suprised you arrive at ISO 12, that sounds really good. I found my Ilford MG IV multigrade to be more like ISO 1–2.

Re: Newest model Compur 3, T Trouble

Sure thing. But I was expecting T and B modes to work the same way no matter what model or brand. Apparently that’s not the case.

Re: ANSI Standard for 14x17 holder seems odd

This is simply because A is defined as A min, e. g. minimum length for A. In practise you could make your holder as long as you want to.

Thanks for sharing! Could you say how far away from the contact your bathroom light was, and how much Watt the buld has? This would make it easier to get a good starting point for my own contacts :)

BTW, what Mr. Hoover calls »Exposure Width« is the opening of the holder with an open darkslide. That is slightly larger than the film itself.

Cheers! Hope it helps! My holders can all take print paper too. I wonder how thick that is.

The main a-ha from the original spec was that most values are min- or max-values.

It’s not really hard if you use the basis of a Norma or F-standard. The only tricky part is to get the distance to the ground glass right. Just E-Mail me if you have any questions.

I just built this one »spacer« specifically for the 75mm focussed at infinity. The writing on top states the hyperfocal distances for the snadard aperture numbers:

    ƒ8 —> 4.9m

Here’s my take on the idea. A cardboard tube between two coupling frames. I’m still trying to get a Norma aux standard for the back too. It is really light and a joy to handle.

Re: lens in compound 4 shutter

@Dhuiting do you have a link showing the lens? From a quick google-search it looks more like a barrel lens that can not be mounted on a central shutter. I might be wrong though.
