  1. Re: Lens board light leak / lens board question

Reads as if you will get a new lensboard from intrepid, but you can probably also salvage that one with a few coats of black paint.

Re: Help with Durst CLS 1840

That was what made me think about checking the connectors. Maybe a break in the wire under the connector shrouds?

One unit I repaired had a break in the ribbon cable, from being run over by the...

I suspect you have checked the pins on your Siemens connectors. THREE pins to carry the current to the lamp. On my cable connector one pin had burned off, so I'm down to only two pins carrying the...

Re: Help with Durst CLS 1840

Is the shutter opening and closing? The shutter makes a lot of clatter, so you should be able to hear it opening and closing. Or you can take off the UBEN Larabox piece and look up there. (CLS2000...

Yes, so back to my initial though that our 240 lenses are the latest ones. The B barrel is described as follows:

I did find this Schneider PDF showing the 210mm in a barrel with illuminated aperture, so I presume they also offered the 240 in a similar barrel. There is nothing to suggest the lens...

I have a 240mm Componon-S like that. I was always under the impression that was the latest and last 240mm Componon-S they made. I don't think they ever made the 240mm in the plastic bodies with the...
  13. Re: Durst L1840 Enlarger 8x10 10x10--Everything you wanted to know...

Of course, but that is easier written than done. In my quest for the 210mm Componon-S, I came across modern 210mm Componon-S lenses with 4 different configuration.
The lens I wound up finding had a...

I got a set of the Laraboxes, so I outfitted the L1840 with the UBER and UNTER Larabox 450. Usually I use my Omegas for 4x5 but wanted to print the rebate and it is a little difficult to do...

Oh, just the opposite. I have more 8x10 coverage lenses than I know what to do with. I only recently got those shorter lenses and this winter was trying the L1840 with 4x5".

I don't think the manual will help. Many people on this forum have this enlarger, with some time someone that has disassembled one will chime in.
