  1. Re: Alt Process Chemicals; How long can they last?

Just chiming in, I received old stock sealed 25ml bottles of Sodium Chloroplatinite (Pt Sol 3). I noticed that they have some coagulation—can this still be used? If so, what to do with the build...
  2. Platinum Solution #3: Does it go bad?

I was able to acquire several bottles of unused pt solution for platinum printing and I noticed that the solution has coagulated a little bit, is this still usable? What can I...

    Re: Strobes and Pops

My bad, thanks for all the inputs!

The table I should have shared:

    Initial exposure; 1 pop e.g. f/8
    + 1 stop; +2 pops; e.g. f/11
    + 2 stops; +4 pops e.g. f/16

    Strobes and Pops

Hello! Calling on to the knowledge of the group.

How do I determine the correct amount of additional pops per stop?

    Is my math correct?

    2 pops; +1 stop ...
  10. Re: Bellows Extension Factor & Flash Photography

Yes correct, for clarity, I am just shooting still objects.

Are the only exposure controls left just my aperture and flash power?

So if I needed for example +2 stops from my bellows...
  11. Re: Bellows Extension Factor & Flash Photography

Yes, acquainted with the inverse square law.

The long and short of it is, if I wanted to stick to my aperture for creative reasons, that means the only control I have is flash power correct? So...

    Hello,

I recently shifted to using Broncolor strobes for my indoor work.

Essentially to better maximise bellows draw and magnification—though I am not sure if there will be any distortions caused by using a wide angle lens as I've never had one for LF.
