    So very sad to hear.
Never met him in person, but we had communicated via email.
He helped me be a better & more committed photographer.
So sorry I never made it to see him in Maine.

  2. Re: Technika in a Domke F-2 or other shoulder bag?

    Hi!

I use a dome F2 with my MT.
(I use the same bag for all my cameras & swap them out)
It will also accommodate two lenses on boards.
I also use the Domke F6 bag for the same purpose....

Yes, I've soured on using expired film. Not worth it, especially when you get strange artifacts etc.

Re: Nikkor 90 F8 iris Diaphragm questions

    189391Hi Jim,

Looks like you solved the question.
With the elements attached, the iris is open.
As Neil said you can barely discern the iris.

    Thanks everyone for your help.

    189376Hi Jim,

I measured it and it appears close to your measurement.
    Maybe it is OK
    What do you think?
This photo shows the shutter at F8

    Hi Neil,

    Re: Service an Ilex shutter?

    Good morning,

This is what I did, I opened up the shutter (top plates) to exposure the workings.
I flushed out the gears etc with plenty of lighter fluid.
