    I think someone recovered it.
LInhof uses 4 rectangular shims mounted on a small screw to adjust position of the focus plane. Are those the shims you mentioned? If not, someone was tampering. Those...

That number is for a 1963 Super Technika IV but your picture is a III or possibly a wartime camera.

    Re: Chamonix vs. Xxxxx?

This is ridiculous. You can leave it on the lens all the time and eliminate many of your steps. It is no more difficult to clean it then to clean the front of your lens. It adds minimal weight. It...

    Re: Prototype RF-coupled 4x5 camera

Look up Linhof Aero Technika 5” roll backs. These things take 50’ of 5” (120mm) NATO spooled roll film or 60’ if it is ester base film. They would mount to any Technika 4 or later body but will not...

    Re: Chamonix vs. Xxxxx?

Drew, the manufacturers state that the cf goes directly on the lens. If you want to do things the wrong way feel free. But don’t tell others to follow bad advice.

    Re: Chamonix vs. Xxxxx?

Filters should never be mounted between a lens and a cf. the center filter belongs directly on the lens. Unless you don’t want the cf to have the proper effect.
