Yes, the original bellows were tapered. The original bellows had been taped along the edges, presumably for light leaks, so they did not collapse as nicely as I am sure they did when new.

I'm not sure and I am hesitant to make this modification. If I was going to do anything along these lines, I'd make a new frame that fit the new bellows and then make an adapter.
This sounds like what I should have done from the start, but I didn't know this was an option. It does not seem to me that the bellows are going to fit as is. They are sending me a video showing...
Yes Michael, I think I can glue it from the inside instead of the outside, but I haven't tried that yet. I can't think of any downsides since I think the light-trapping interface would be the same. ...
I was going to use the wire stretcher from work, but I don't have a metric Crescent wrench to adjust it with.
They just contacted me about rectifying it, so let's hope it all works out.
I bought new bellows from ecbuyonline2008 for a Calumet C1 8x10 green monster. This seems to be one of their "standard" bellows.
I removed the old bellows from the camera and the front and rear...
That's pretty neat. I wonder about scratches on the base...
Congrats. I bought the ANOVA some time ago exclusively for this purpose. It worked very well for me and it was my first time using C-41 color chemistry. I don't have a means for determining if the...
Metz 45 series. They won't mount to the cold shoe, but the bottom bracket screws into the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera. The handle flash then becomes another handle. It makes for a fairly...
Waiting on Google fiber here in Louisville so I can dump Time Warner.
4) consider getting the MOD54 for use with the Paterson 1 liter tank. This will be closer to what you are used too. Sacrifice a few sheets of film, practice in the light, then in the dark. It can be...
So it is 5 sheets per box? The HP5 option would be more than $8 per sheet? Am I doing the math right? Seems expensive.

Rob
I like this idea.
Randy, I'm getting "invalid URL" from the link you sent.
I use Vuescan and an old Epson 4490. I scan twice to set exposure and then two times in order to get the whole image. I also use a Beseler 4x5 holder instead of just putting the negative on the...
I'll be there. The Paletti gallery is 3 miles from my house. Can't wait to see your work in person
The 5L C41 shows both "clearance" and "out of stock", but lists a due date of Feb 12. I hope the 5L kit stays available. I'm just getting into color film processing.
Feb 29 is the oddest day of the year but it only comes on even years. Isn't that odd?
Nice response, Maris. That gives me more encouragement to start contact printing 8x10.

Rob
Thanks for the offer Vinny. I'm going to try to source it from Bencher, the people that now sell Majestic. If they don't have one that fits my head, I'll contact you.
Regards,
Rob
Thanks for the link. I didn't know that they sell the platforms separately. I've inquired about getting one.
Throwing this in the DIY section even though I'm looking for someone to do this for me.
I have a Majestic model 1600 geared head. I'd like a larger plate than the one that is on the head. Given...
I obtained the attached picture from this site: http://lommen9.home.xs4all.nl/Graflex%20Holders/index.html
No idea if this is acceptable or not. Mods, please delete this post if it violates any...
Yes, but I'm wondering of the interface dimensions were every standardized through ANSI or some other standards body.
I am not talking about the standard for DDS film holder, i.e. ANSI-IT3.108.
I wondering about the dimensions relating to the slides that allow one to attach a roll film holder, or example, to a...
I was able to create an account and add the standard to my shopping cart. The cost is $25. I did not complete the purchase, but it looks like it is available.
Good luck with this effort.

I use Vuescan with a Nikon LS8000 so my flow will be slightly different then with your V700. I have only been able to get Vuescan to batch 35mm with the dedicated 35mm holder. It will scan 12 frames...
Renato,
Thanks for the detailed response. I will have to give Gimp a try again.
Which version do you run? Are you running stable or the 2.9 development snapshot?
Regards,
Rob
I use Lightroom for PP. It is simple for me to use, but I do very little in the way of adjustments. I suppose I need to do a little Googling, look at some how-to's, etc, to learn how to use Gimp. ...
Interesting video. How can I get started answering the question, why did you do what you did?
Is paraffin at all useful or something to be avoided? Isn't this recommended in Grafmatic holders? Thought it might be good for sliding metal surfaces.
2cm is better than 3/4", not 1/8". That's more like chisel thin instead of razor thin. ;)
Oren already posted here, but here is another 20x24 Polaroid artist.

I'm considering getting a 410 head for use with a Wisner 4x5 TF. (I tried 1 ball head (3-Legged Thing) but did not I like it over my Manfrotto 322RC2.)
Once you have adjusted the 410 to the...
What's left?
Perhaps this has already been shared here, but I found the video fascinating.

The video that adelorenzo linked to is in itself fascinating. It is very well done. The work as presented in the video is inspirational and thrilling. I'd like to see the plates in person. The...
Thanks Ken. I have viewed both of those links previously and used the photos from the PDF to come to the conclusion that both of the units I mentioned above are the Technical Field Camera, even...
I've seen 2 different models of the Wisner 4x5 field camera listed for sale here and elsewhere. There are a few differences but I can't find any that would make a difference in way the camera is...
