    Re: Filters for B&W

[QUOTE=Kiwi7475;1536109]Why assume that the grad filter is 3 or 4 stops?

It was an example just to illustrate the problem.

If my sky is 4 stops brighter than my foreground, I would like to...

    Re: Filters for B&W

What I don't understand is, when the sky is blue and 3 to 4 stops brighter than the foreground, will a yellow filter "correct" the exposure? Will the darkening of the blue frequency effectively...

    Ansel Adam's books...what version??

I'm confused by the Ansel Adam's books. I'd like to get The Camera and The Negative, but some books have different pictures on the cover. Some say Series and others say Series 1.

    Is there a...

I'm a little confused about the ways to control exposure with filters when shooting onto B&W film.

Re: Gossen Luna Pro F....need help!

    This is weird....
Reading only in reflective mode, if I adjust the EF dial to about 8 (black #) the readings will be very close to my D7200 with 35mm lens. On occasion, I'll get a reading that is...

    Before...

  24. Re: Film Development and Contact Printing Equipment and Materials List

Corran, maybe go back and re-read my post. I asked, given a film type, what would you need....

    So, how...

  32. Re: 150mm lens suggestion for landscapes on a Cambo 45NX

I've looked at more landscape photos that I like and a bunch of them are on my 50mm f1.8 Nikor. Then, I have a bunch in the 18mm range. I believe the 50mm on DX should convert to about 33mm on 35mm...

  34. Re: 150mm lens suggestion for landscapes on a Cambo 45NX

I can say this. When looking at my favorite landscape images on my D7200, most of them fall into the 24mm-50mm range on the DX format.
