Love the angel/fog image Austin

I used to belong to another photo (critique) site that is now defunk and it seems that when ever there was a nude image of a man there, people (men) would attack it. But if it was a nude image of a...
Chris:
thanks for the info. When I found the recipe for the monobath I wanted to give it a try. I think id like to try with sheet film as I tray develop my sheets one at a time and it takes quite...
Chris: when doing 4x5 in the tray, are you basically doing stand? - my understanding with the monobath you dont want to use agitation
I have to agree, the use of the tree with the island works really well imo
Ignace Ontario, a little place I love to go to even tho there is basically just this one feature - Raleigh Falls.
I drove an hour each way, and only took this one photo.

Thanks. This is my fav subject, and one of my fav locations.
ive been using PS for ages. and I have to say, i dont like 'renting' a program. Dont like it at all.
With that being said, the price IS cheap at $10 a month. I learn more things about how to use...
Took the Toyo 810G, and the wife, for a little walk to a fav spot of mine. One thing for sure, this camera is a beast to carry.
Toyo 810G, Schneider - Kreuznach Symmar 355mm lens. Arista EDU Ultra...

I come here specifically due to being a LF site/forum as Ive recently started using a 8x10. I also shoot 4x5 as far as...
I always like the behind the scene photos showing the set up and such
OK thanks mdarnton - i thought maybe the gel would fill any gaps better but you make a good point, it wouldnt wick into the joints.
yes the plastic 8x10 film holders where the side pieces pulled away from the septum, the bottom.
The tape/hing still works as designed, doesnt matter if the dark slide is pulled out or pushed in...
lol I was thinking gel superglue before i posted this. wasnt sure if it would affect the film at all or not.
Jac:
Yes you are right: things break. Well I have 5 more holders that seem to be fine. They will suffice.
Thanks.
I apologize if not in correct forum
Ok separating may not be the correct term but heres my question:
Got one where the two side, rails? do not stay connected to the bottom part (the hinged...
thanks for the info. i realize some may think the information would be moot since the size of the pinhole in each can would be different but it will get me close.
Just got to get some construction...
thats pretty cool pinhole image. Ive sorta started a pop can pinhole, just having actually made the hole yet or a top for the can.
Was thinking of a solarography project with paper but I dont see...
when I saw it, i went 'wow' - its incredible. never shot that film in anything other than 35mm or 120 but looking at that photo I might have to try it in 4x5 or 8x10 soon.
Such depth. incredible.
Mat that image is lovely - excellent tones through out. Love the depth as well.
'lovely video' does not do that video justice. leaves me speechless.
Thanks for that karl
I too landed myself a Toyo 810G, about a month or so ago. Loving it so far.
It came with the 8x10 and the 4x5 back so Im good - although like you Neil it would be nice if I could get a 5x7 back...
wow mat, thats the sort of image Id want hanging on my wall. Beautifully done.
Very nice image. The lens worked well - upper left corner might be a bit of vignetting/shadow(?) but still looks awesome
yeah that particular image, you can see what appears to be possible finger prints, yes some dust - but the other spots. wow. lol. what can a guy say. I try to keep the amount of dust down to a...
I checked out your flickr photos - im in awe. beautiful images. Colours are incredible, excellent detail through out, the scenery beautiful - nice large photos to fully appreciate the beauty of the...
gandolfi - sorry about the private thing. i thought with the link anyone using the link could view it. i didnt want it showing on my photostream.
IF you can click on it now, and it opens for you,...
here is an example, i havent done anything with this other than a bit of a resize. The paper is a few years old, never properly stored. Paper devloped in HC-110 dilution B.
I have never made a...
yeah the vignetting really works well. I havent done this myself but i might have to
axs810 - yeah - first thing i do actually. not sure what the issue is but it seems there is a lot of spotting to do. not sure if the issue is actually dust, or maybe old paper or what...head scratcher
Pretty nice being able to use such an old lens Alessandro. Beautiful photo - nice and tack sharp.
I think some people (digital shooters im thinking) forget about those old beautiful lenses.
Odd, when im shooting digital I strive to get as much as possible in focus, yet with LF its the opposite.
Im hoping at some point this spring to get some great(?) flower shots. I havent had much...
Martin - incredible photo(s). my fav subject, long shutter and water.
When I scan paper negatives, there is a *lot* of spotting to do. Is this normal guys? Ive only shot three images so far using paper negatives and its been a issue all three times. Ive been using...
Pretty impressive Ramiro. I really like this last photo. I love the limited dof you can achieve with LF.
Yeah I do too. I also really like the limited DoF, and position in the frame
Yeah I never thought of that - It would make sense that Toyo probably used the same knob on each model to cut production costs.
I'll have to re-do my search, to include standards/parts
Thank you Ari - I will give them a call!
