During the 80's recession I met a young Spanish lad with next to no English that had come here looking for work. Emigrating to Liverpool in the worst of the 80's recession. :D
He made friends and...
There was lf colour photography before the invention of colour film so there will still be lf colour photography should colour film become extinct.

People manage to develop film ok without inspection. :)
Earlier postings mentioned dof in the microns for the moving neg, I don't see that as easy compared to getting a sliding camera table to within 1mm.
Could a flatbed scanner be hacked to act as digital paper? A large neg could be done in pieces then stitched.
Failing that, I really like the idea of the camera under the enlarger. Isn't the dof...
I was reading threads in this sub forum and lots of talk about spending cash getting shutters fitted, now I know why.
Thanks for the speedy replies.
Thanks for the speedy replies.
I know that there must be a good reason or people wouldn't spend on getting barrel lenses adapted.
I can understand the advantage with MF lenses but with LF it would seem more logical to me to...
I like that shot of the tlr being swallowed up. :)
I got a meter that won't wear out :) a Nebro visual exposure meter aka an extinction meter. Have to learn how to use it now.
I also bought a dirt cheap Mini-Rex II, the needle responds to light,...
I'm in a similar position to the OP except that I haven't done anything with film for over 20 years and have also done very little with digital.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a...

What's the usual way of sending sheet film to a lab?
Uh oh... Gear Acquisition Syndrome starting to form, I've just come across the SEI Photometer. What a beautiful piece of kit.
There's a lot to learn.
I never sold a pic that didn't have a face from the customers family in it, this exposing for the shadows thing is going to be new territory for me. :)
afaik, the old...
That would be cool.
The BBC is run by people who mix with people that run other things...councils, businesses, governments...that sort of thing. The Occupy Wall Street demos were going on for months before the BBC...
I know they're expensive but owners say that they're worth it.
They would be even more 'worth it' if I could use it to develop sheet film.
Somebody must have tried film in one of these, they...
Being newly enthused, I've been ebay stalking for a week or so and values have changed since I was last interested in film some 30+ years ago. :D
Weston was a drool over brand of meter back then...
Oops... wrong forum. Sorry.
Hi Mc, I'm in the same boat except that I got a Polaroid 120 rather than a pinhole to check out lf.
My plan is to get a used paper safe. (Someone please stop me if they're not light proof enough...
They do exist as a couple have just gone on ebay:

Hi all, I've just got interested in film again, was mad keen on 35mm in my 20's (I wore out a Halina Paulette making enough cash for an OM1 lol) and now at 60 I fancy having a go at lf.
The Razzle...
