I shoot Arista 400 at 200 and get good results. I have also pushed their ISO 100 film to 400 and found the shadows didn't develop well, though the highlights got darker, making for a pretty high...

I actually just found some phenidone at a local camera store! So I'll be giving this a try sometime. Thx for the info!
This is excellent. Thanks for the info! I'll be experimenting with these formulas. Just to clarify, does the sodium carbonate increase contrast?
This fabled LC-2 developer is so well hidden on the web that I can't find it. I would invite you to provide specifics, hopefully not accompanied by unnecessary rants.
I looked it up! I would love to try it, but phenidone is a hazardous substance that is both difficult to get in Canada and not available online. This is part of the challenge I am facing here. I...
I was curious about Regent Royal hard dot film because of the price so set out trying to figure out how to develop it so that it would not render just black and clear. I tried flashing the negative,...
I started out doing reversals with H2O2/citric acid, experimenting with different ratios/alternating baths (even tried 18% H2O2!), etc. and although some results were OK, always had problems with...
Haha, ok, shows you how clued out I am. The holder would need the borders modified to work with 1/4 plate but that certainly wouldn't be hard to do. I just cut down 5x7 film which makes 2 Polaroid...
I don't know anything about plates, but imagine they don't bend. This film holder requires a medium that can bend to get it into the holder. How thick is the plate? Maybe the holder can be designed...
The Polaroid pack film sized film holders are designed for 4 1/4" x 3 3/8" paper. I'm sure the design could be modified to hold one 1/4 plate with a dark slide.
Here's a 4x5 back for a Polaroid roll film camera:

It takes custom 4x5 film holders. You can find the instructions and files at http://polaroids.theskeltons.org/roll4x5.htm
And, a 4x5...
This is an old thread, but I just did a 4x5 conversion on a pack film camera keeping the 114mm lens and using a 3d printed back. Instead of the -1 diopter lens to compensate for the film plane moved...

How did reprogramming the Sonoff go? I understand you need some sort of USB adapter to do it. And, I'm curious how what kind of tablet you have and how it did in the fog test on paper. I think a...
Hmmm... good points--I just have an old school incandescent 15 watt bulb in my enlarger which I'll test using a suggested method in the FADU documentation (do 10 - 2 second exposures and compare that...
My first enlarger timer was a Gralab--you know, the one with the minute and second hands. The last second on it isn't very accurate.
Then I got ahold of a Gralab 505 electronic timer, with...
First, instant 4x5 film is rare and if you can find it, will cost a bundle. The same goes for 100 series pack film, though you can sometimes find FP-100C for $60/pack of 10 exposures, but you'd need...
Has anyone tried this paint on emulsion? I'm wondering how manageable it is, whether it can produce half decent prints, and how durable the result is.
Also, if you've used it, I suppose you'd have...
I started a year ago with FP4+ and HP5+ and ID-11 and Ilford rapidfix for film, and Ilford MGIV/dektol for paper.
Over the year I've settled on Arista ultra 100/400 for film (35mm), and Arista 76...
