    Ilford Rapid Fix considerations

I'm in need some fresh chemicals, so on a whim I picked up a small bottle of Ilford Rapid Fix instead of my usual Kodak, basically because
    1. It's a liquid so it should be easy to mix.
    2. I want...
  5. Re: Baltic or Finnish Baltic Birch for lens boards?

The 4x4 boards for earlier Speed Graphics and Graphic View 2 is the "A" board.
Sometimes they show up on eBay.
Good Baltic Birch is common in amateur aircraft building.
    The OP might luck out...

Re: Red Bellow vs Black Bellow

I have this on good authority:
    red bellows are chick magnets.
    So bellow accordingly.

    Or accordion-ly.
  11. Re: Desirability of lens flanges for older lenses

A toilet to tank gasket aft of the lens board will hold a sh*t load of optical glass rigidly in place.

  13. Re: The Holy Grail of LF Aerial Cameras Unearthed----literally

The story of Washburn's camera left behind on that glacier is legendary among quite a few Indiana Jones types.

It's interesting that when it comes to crowbars, the rusty old ones are more often heavier duty than the shiny new ones.
At least that's been my observation.
The same thing with Pulaskis. My late...
