    Re: KangRinpoche Film Changing Tents?

I've had mine for years and I like it - no issues. One of the puller strings on the pole foot broke, but that's about it.
  3. Re: Shanghai Film Available from ecbuyonline2008

Hey folks, I might be convinced to be in for some 5x7 and 120 rolls. I'm in Richmond so maybe in between Coquitlam and Bellingham ;)

There was a gentleman on this forum who used to arrange private...

    Re: sourcing chemicals in Canada

You can try Film Plus near Symington and Dupont. If you prefer to order online, there's always Argentix.
  5. Re: Ilford FP4+ or Delta 100: "moon crater" pattern on skies after a long exposure

I have no idea the cause or the relation to long exposures, but those look like bubbles or foam to me.

    Re: Subjective film advice

Can I ask why you have Fomapan 100 and Shanghai GP3 at (almost) opposite ends of your scale? GP3 is my favourite film, and I've been heartbroken since it's been out of production for two years (good...

Pierre, you are amazing. I'd be in for 5x7. Looking forward to whatever works. I love this film in 120 and 4x5 and have been mourning its loss.

Pierre - I've sent you a DM. Very interested in 4x5, and 8x10, plus 120. Will share news with others if we can work something out!

Yes, me as well! Or if you're willing to forward shipping, I'd be more than happy to pay you a commission like I would my Taobao broker.

Shanghai is producing again? This would be great news. Will they produce in 120 format as well?

I come to this forum because there are occasionally substantive discussions about the practice of photography and not merely its materials or gear. I'm tired of photo forums where all activity is...

Re: Copal shutter service in Canada

Neither Vancam nor Camtex have particularly good reviews online. I recall once deciding that Vancam was the better option - for some reason - and phoned them to ask about a shutter capping issue. The...

  23. Re: Can anyone tell me what went wrong with this film?

If you're using a standard Paterson sized tank, this is one reason why I actually use 600mL of liquid instead of the 450 the tank suggests.
  24. Re: Shutter trigger - suggestions for batteries

Kumar, I mean something like this. A self-contained battery cell with recharging circuitry onboard. You plug it into a AC-DC converter with a USB port (or a nearby USB powered port) to recharge and...
  25. Re: Shutter trigger - suggestions for batteries

Kumar, have you thought about using the small portable cell phone charger batteries? I have some that can provide up to 2A draw and have upwards of 10,000mAh capacity. I use one to power an Arduino. ...

    Re: 10x8 homebrew film holder/darkslide?

I'm used to seeing prices around $100 (CAD) per holder, but I think that if I were to try to make one, it wouldn't work and would cost more.

However, I won't dare tell you to suck it up - no need...
  32. Re: to the mods, does lowering a price on a FS item constitute a bump

Not to argue, but to differ: when I'm in the market for something, I search for keywords then sort by date. Example, if I'm looking for something for my Rittreck View, I might search 'Rittreck' and...
