Traditionally, big cities are magically illuminated this time of year.
    New York, Chicago, San Francisco.
Plenty of cool photo ops for us guys living out in the sticks.

The advantage? They don't cost an arm and a leg.
Off beat ones can bring interesting bokeh to the party.

Depending of condition of course, but assuming they are both in good condition, which one would you be willing to hang on the snout of an Omega D-II?

Re: Good light lens for 8x10

240 G Claron is light and compact, single coated and found in modern copal shutters. Very bright for focusing, too even though it's an f/9. I tend to shoot at f/45 unless I run out of image circle,...

    Re: Still Smokey

I had to have a graft in my jaw.
The periodontist wanted to use cadaver material.
I told him I didn't want no dead guy in my mouth, so he agreed to use bovine material instead.

  10. Re: Seeking a newer 4x5 camera for mostly landscape

Roman Laranc is a Linhof landscape shooter.
    Take a look:

Admittedly it's the Indian, not the arrow, but the results he gets with his Linhof are pretty inspirational.

FWIW I like my Printfile proofer under a cheap Meopta 4x4 enlarger for contact printing.

We went to Mariposa on HWY 49 yesterday.
A low pressure area is coming in.
The air was pretty nice and the sky blue-ish.
