If only! I love 2475, the only roll I've been able to shoot did not age well. I will keep my eyes peeled for these but they seem quite rare...

I like grain, which is partly why my 120 Tri-X gets Rodinal. Tri-X 320 sheets are another beast - still good in Rodinal, albeit with relatively mild grain, as you might expect.
Do you like grain?...
I've been kicking myself for losing an auction for the 420... and I do want to plan ahead for my inevitable jump to ULF... And in addition to my dream kit of EBC 125/180/300, I already have single...
As I hinted in my original post, I have a bit of an obsession in building a modern Fuji kit, which I am two lenses away from (125 NSW and CM-W 300... or perhaps the 360... Hear me, Claus...)

XVa, nice! I need two of those...
I've gone from just looking for cheap and interesting, to obsessing over Fuji's more modern designs. I've yet to pick up any lemons, and I have some older lenses I really like, but I really really...
I know it's not the most popular look, but it's a look "eye" love (ha ha). Are there any large format lenses known for this look?

How many shots do you need before you know it's your favorite?
I shoot 5x7, for some reason, so my choices would likely be different from a 4x5 shooter anyway, but the one shot I've taken thus far...
Thanks a ton for sharing! Definitely keeping this lens in mind for my hypothetical 7x17 kit.
This site lists five versions, with coverage of either 211mm or 254mm. Mark has chimed in below, though I'm still not sure that I could identify the variations... At any rate, I'm part pack mule, so...
Mistakes are crucial for learning, so that's one point against perfection. It's important to remember that there's no one right way to do things, and what you might find acceptable could greatly...
Ah, actually, I just noticed that there seem to be at least two different versions of the Super Symmar HM which significantly different coverage - would you happen to know how to distinguish them?
I appreciate you folks chiming in!
Good to know that the Fuji has the most coverage in its class! Nice too see a Rittreck being put to use, those are nice cameras :) I'm looking forward to...
The Ansco looks nice! It appears reasonably priced, too. Mr. Ritter's work is quite nice too, it's his 7x17 I've been eyeing, so a matching 5x7 would make for a nice bit of kit.
I have enough...
I'd just like to see pics taken with the lens :~) I'd very much like some Rokkor glass for my 5x7, my lensboard isn't big enough for a massive Shanel or Ilex shutter, though.
As others have suggested, something closer to 210 would give you a more comparable FoV and DoF. As you mentioned, focal length isn't directly related to DoF, but distance is. If you're used to your...
I've had my B&J for just shy of a year and I'm already itching for something a little better. Mine is a bit bedraggled - everything is wobbly, movements are too loose or too tight, there are a couple...
I shoot 5x7. Lenses in the 135-150mm range that cover well are relatively scarce, especially considering the number of options in that range. I don't remember enough details about lens design to...
Thank you all for the suggestions! Jordon Pond and Sieur de Monts sound like charming areas I might have missed otherwise. I'll be sure to let you all know if I capture anything worth sharing
I'll be in Acadia national park for the first time next week, which I am very excited about. This is also the first time I've been to a national park since I reached a pretty proficient level with my...
