Re: Post y'ur Pinkham & Smith Pics!

I've been away for a few years but I have two things to say:

    1) Great work with the P&S, Jim.

    2) Like Jim, I really miss Mark's pixie images. Is she coming back?

When setting up a shot at Artist Point one time, a busload of Japanese tourists emptied out and made a bee line for me. I don't speak Japanese, but I think some were saying, "Let's take the same...

  32. Poll: Re: New 4x5 film processing system on Kickstarter: $47!

Looks promising, especially for those times when I do not want to drag out the Jobo tank. It was worth a $54 gamble for me as I usually only process 1-4 sheets at a time.

Thanks for the update and the answer as to why my packets are exploding in the holder. I'm glad you're making progress. I guess I should just sell my remaining film to someone at a lower altitude...

    Alan,

Thanks for your comments. Glad I'm not the only one with issues. I was feeling pretty incompetent. As soon as I loaded my first packet and saw developer all over the place, I knew there were...

    Re: new55 kickstarter has begun

Not the best of luck so far. First packet blew developer all over inside my 545 holder. After I cleaned that up, the second one came apart when I pulled the sleeve out to make the photo. Third was a...

Re: Using and Modifying the Travelwide 4x5 camera

    Yep!

The off center finder really doesn't affect view vs photo that much, especially since the purpose is to be able to use it hand held. Most of the old rangefinder 35mm cameras had their...

    Re: Wanderlust 4x5 P&S

    Ben,

That worked, thank you very much. One of the little loops on one of the retainers that the screw passes thru did break, but it's good enough to hold for a little while. When you get a chance,...
