    Re: Washin Canada Balsam?

I bought some of that stuff, too. The instructions are for the big solid chunks they used to sell. This powder stuff is almost unworkable.

    Re: Lubricant for lens thread

The damping is easy. Anything will do that. Except dry teflon (which I would not use any dry lubricant near optics unless you like dust on internal glass surfaces). It’s the combination of all the...
  9. Re: What is the largest format camera that you have seen ever?

Re: Today's J. Lane Dry Plate work

    Re: Post Your Waterfalls

  28. Re: ASA 25 Orthochromatic Dry Plates Now Available!

Modern tintypes are typically black anodize. Good adhesion requires a different solution than for glass. I have successfully coated tintypes but not with the Ortho emulsion.
  29. Re: ASA 25 Orthochromatic Dry Plates Now Available!

Yeah Kent. I’ve been processing my 4x5’s in my SP-445 for several months now. I think you’ll be hapoy with the improvement in emulsion adhesion since Batch 17
  30. Re: Affordable Dry Plate Holder Kickstarter coming!

  38. Re: Shanghai B & W film - Annual LF and ULF sheet film Campaign 2019

Pierre, the 164 x 215 mm sizing you selected for whole plate will work but is sort of at the high end of the dimensions especially taking tolerances into account.
