    Re: Sleeves for 4 x 10 negatives.

You can also make your own out of acid free letter size paper. Fold it in half the long way, seal the ends with tape or glue, and you're ready to go.

    Re: Lens Cleaner

I too use retractable brushes. I bought mine at Target in the make up department. They look like a large lipstick tube and have a very soft brush inside.

    Re: Terminology Question

I would say that hard and soft refer to the overall contrast of the plate, and thick and thin refer to how much exposure they received. More exposure equals more light and a darker, denser, thicker...

Francesco, I can't answer all your questions, but I have a D250 that I bought in 2005 and it has been basically trouble free that whole time. Around 2010 it started acting up so I called Hass and...

In the past when I was shooting with a Leica M2 (which is meterless) I estimated exposures and was sufficiently accurate. Here in the Chicago area it was sunny 11.

Oren, I'm hoping it's chocolate, but suspect it's plastic.

A friend of mine once received a birthday cake modeled on an M series Leica. It was most appropriate.

    Re: Anyone else printing smaller?

Andre Kertesz's early work (approx. 1912-1918 or so) were contact prints that are about 6x4.5cm.

After both my parents passed I found some negatives that my father had made of my mother before...

    Thanks for the laugh Oren!
