  4. Re: What’s your most “unpopular” opinion about LF?

Unless your camera has axis tilts and swings.
  5. Re: What’s your most “unpopular” opinion about LF?

And that makes the camera yaw free when used on it’s side as then the swing is beneath the tilt.
  6. Re: What’s your most “unpopular” opinion about LF?

Rear swing does not create distortion. But just like rear tilt it controls subject shape.

  11. Re: How to secure Sinar Norma Case for shipping

You can use any strap or cable but all it takes is a pair of dykes to cut it open, after they carry off the case.
  12. Re: What’s your most “unpopular” opinion about LF?

“ There's an ongoing discussion about whether using back movements on a view camera changes perspective. I'm in the "yes" camp on this since moving the film about in relation to the objects in the...
  13. Re: Calibrating Modern Flash & Flash Bulbs & Zone Focus 4X5

Nonsense, the output is over the angle of coverage, be it a soft dish, umbrella, soft box, back light reflector, hair light, spot light, fresnel spot, etc. it is what that head outputs over the angle...
  14. Re: Calibrating Modern Flash & Flash Bulbs & Zone Focus 4X5

Because your flash statements are incorrect and misleading.
  15. Re: Linhof Kardan leveling tripod head 003668/90 questions

No, they should not be greased. At most, a very thin coating of petroleum jelly.

So, if you aren’t going to support them, why do you bother the U.S. office with your questions? That just helps to build up their costs!

    Re: Which diameter filter

Since you are using a wa lens be aware, that you will get streaking in the skies with a polarizer and a wa lens.
  20. Re: Calibrating Modern Flash & Flash Bulbs & Zone Focus 4X5

Do some study watt seconds are the storage capacity of the capacitors in a flash. An extremely efficient flash will not output more then 80% of that storage capacity. The actual output will depend on...
  21. Re: Calibrating Modern Flash & Flash Bulbs & Zone Focus 4X5

No, that output will depend on the angle of coverage on that flash head.
  22. Re: Calibrating Modern Flash & Flash Bulbs & Zone Focus 4X5

Bernice, isn’t it about time that you learned that watt seconds is not output, can not be converted directly to a guide number or actual output?
Watt seconds is another major “marketing ploy”!

  24. Re: Calibrating Modern Flash & Flash Bulbs & Zone Focus 4X5
