Hi, do you know a book that descibes techniques like this...?

That helped! Thank you!
Thank you, that's what I'd like to know.
Yes, but what if I have to replace the original Compur 3 shutter with the f5.6 version? I open the iris to its max. e.g. f5.6.
Does this work together with the h5.8 disk? Or will it reduce th...
Hello,
is it possible to use the Imagon 250mm with an Compur 3 shutter with f5.6 (the Imagon is equipped with a H5.8 sieve aperture)?
The Compur 3 usually shipped with the Imagon 250mm has no...
Thank you.
The Voigtländer Collinear III f7.7 #6 has a focal length of 12" (30cm).
I'm wondering that this lens was used by a 24cm x 30cm camera while the catalogue tells that this lens covers...
Hi,
with a camera I got a Voigtländer Collinear III f7.7 #6 (serial #49836). But I couldn't figure out the focal length (measured something around 33cm) and the coverage.
The camera was a 24cm x...
I used this Formular, except that I used the distance between lens and film instead of focal length only.
I think this is more correct because for portraits I don't focus to infinity == focal lenght...
The Eurygon ist 10cm in length and diameter.
I'd like to shoot head and shoulders.
Your camera is too big - I don't own a audio, it's just a hobby.
I try to achieve.the look of the portraits from...
Unfortunately I don't have the camera yet. I try to figure out what is possible and advised.
My idea was to make portraits by contact prints from the negative. 8x10 seams too small to me. In order to create negatives larger than 8x10 I want to use paper negatives.
I didn't know that SINAR...
I still try to figure out which camera (and format) would best suitable.
I'd like to use the lens for portraits at best with 30x40cm film format. This means that I've to use a wooden camera.

Hello,
I've got an Rodenstock Eurygon Anastigmat 1 f4.5/360mm (from 1915).
Vademecum:
"Eurygon f4.5 300, 360, 420mm ... H&D gives 210-600mm, and confirms it is a triplet ... Coverage increases...
I found this one: https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?137020-Using-a-Sinar-Copal-shutter-with-lens-attached-to-front-of-shutter&p=1376421&viewfull=1#post1376421

Did you mount the lens on a SINAR board or did you use an adapter directly screwed into the SINAR Copal shutter?
The SINAR Copal shutter has in the inenr opening a small (2-3mm) plastic ring. Did you remove it in order the increase the inner opening diameter?
Hmmm, okay - your advice is to use the SINAR shutter instead of the Packard shutter because the timing is more exact.
The smaller SINAR would act like a second aperture. Wouldn't this mean that less...
The Rodenstock Eurygon is a Triplet lens.
The opening of the SINAR shutter is 76mm, e.g. it is 10mm smaller in diameter than the Eurygon. Wouldn't the SINAR shutter cause vigentting in this case?

Hi,
I've got an Rodenstock Eurygon Anastigmat 1 f4.5/360mm (from 1915) and I'd like to use it for portraits.
Unfortunately I don't have a suitable camera yet - but I try to figure out what is...
Hi,
would a Trioplan 4.5/300mm fit into a H-1?
The H-2 has a max. extension of 340mm.
thank you in advance, Oliver
Hello,
I've got an Heliar 240mm on Compound (#4?) shutter.
I'm searching for a Linhof style lens board (99mm x 96 mm) that fits the Heliar.
Any ideas?
best regards,
Oliver
Unfortunately I could not remove the rear element - too tight or not supposed to be unscrewed.
Hello,
I've got an lens on a old Compur shutter. I'm unable to remove the plate at the shutter backside. I don't see threads.
Does the back plate fit too tight or is it not intended to be removed?...
thanks, I got it.
So I've to think about the camera. The Chamonix H-1 can not be extended and the F2 is in stock in 4 months (or maybe later) ...
A Sinar F2 is suitable but heavier -...
Is this a guess or did you calculate that more than 340mm bellows extension is required for the Imagon (focal length nominal 250mm but as Drew mentioned it is actually 276mm) for head/shoulder...
I've added two pics from the aluminum mounting - I hope that the modification was well/professional done...

The serial no is 222xxx which I thought dates between 1906 and 1908. Do you have another sorce?
Do you mean that the Rapax shutter will not work propery with the lens?
Thank you - I missed to take into account that the lens is mounted at the back of the shutter.
I'm wondering because with f=276mm I get a little bit different distances (312,5mm for 2.5m distance)....
Unfortunately the H-1 can not be extended.
I hope it's not a lousy dagor (especially it is not a 'Berlin Dagor').
I assume the lens was mad between 1906 and 1908 - the shutter might be from a later date (I'm OK with that).
Hi,
I'm confused because I got an Imagon 250mm and I've ordered a Chaminix H-1 (not shipped yet).
The previous owner of the Imagon told me that he was forced to buy an extension for his Sinar F2 -...
Hello,
I've got this Goerz Dagor Series III No.3 with f/6.8 and a focal length of 8 1/4".
Because the focal length is given in inch and it is inscribed with "Goerz Dagor" only - not Goerz Berlin...
