    My sample has arrived.

    I identified it as
    System 00 FL 392mm f3.7
    with Portrait und
    Landschafts-Köpfe with WHS.

    meaning convertible.

    The optical layout is the traditional petzval layout.

    This lens was made in Aug. 17th 1891, Series VIII.
    Your sample is listed as 14 linien oeffnung, which is about 31mm lens opening diameter.
    But your sample is engraved as VII, which could be a typo...

    If there are any other Derogy catalogs in 1860’s, it may give you an answer.

    I recommend you to buy the Sinar Copal shutter.
    The shutter hole diameter is 75mm.
    The Bi-quality and Cooke 12” wouldn’t be interfered with the shutter,
    but Cooke 15” would be, but mostly not...
