Yes, I heard they are considered reliable and easy to service.
I'd prefer having it serviced here in Italy.
No, I don't think it's normal for any shutter to be sensitive to being pointed up or down.
Thank you, Philip :)
Considering it will likely go to the US for service, this is seems like a very good bit of advice. Will definitely do so.
Thank you very much

Thanks Dugan,
I expressed my disappointedness to the seller and consider sending it off to get cla'd - once I get compensated. I also asked him who serviced the shutter, as I definitely want to...
Hello all,
So I bought a new lens
It's a 14" Commercial Ektar in the shutter mentioned above, in lovely shape.
Previous owner said the shutter was serviced and is working perfectly.

Peter,
Thank you for your comments.
I asked for tips on the shuffling method as clearly I'm doing almost everything wrong xD
Michael was clearly more talented and experienced than I am (...
Steve,
Thank you very much for your advice.
This was indeed quite diluted and although agitation was continuous it was shuffling so maybe it still wasn't enough, and the initial agitation...
Good point, but I think I can see the streaks on the negative, although very faintly and I have to admit I might be seeing them even if they're not there sometimes. I'm not sure though as I recall...
Thank you both for your input, a lot of helpful tips from both sides, really. :)

I have nice big trays but with grooves instead of dimples, however it seems I need to rotate more...
I wish it was a vampire hahaha
The thing is, if I do brush development, it is somewhat better, but it still isn't completely evenly developed in the areas like the white wall shot. Whe ...
I know this is an old thread, but I hope some of you will still see this. I'm having trouble tray processing 8x10 sheets.
I've processed this 8x10 sheet ( along with two others) in an 11x14...
What you're saying makes sense. Unfortunately I can't afford having 2 or 3 lenses of the same focal length and then choose based on the necessity of movements.
With that said I don't think 398mm...
Hi Joe,
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
The inside of my bellows is indeed quite reflective, even at normal angles.. At low angles it seems almost glossy :(
A quick question about...
Thanks, I'm experimenting with a simple retractable rubber hood, but with movements employed and a wide angle lens the only real solution will be a compendium hood, indeed..
Yes, the top right is a leak from the edge of the flap of the holder.
I thought about the streaks possibly being caused by bromide drag, but this is tray developed, so they wouldn't be straight...
Hi there,
I'm having similar issues and wondering if (and how) you managed to sort out yours.
Please see an example below.

Many thanks,
Hello there, could anyone provide some info on getting one of these in Europe? 😅
I'd love to get my hands on either one of these.
