I don't really have much to add to what others have said. I have a 150 L and it is a fine lens, plus it's nice to have a bit of additional coverage.

And don't forget to wear the immaculate starched white shirt with your favorite tie. Dress for success! What could go wrong?
C'mon we know you're out there...
Hmm, my photo didn't show up!
I thought I would try to resuscitate this moribund thread.
Anyone else have 4x10s?
I agree with Vaughn, that's a conversation worth having.
Climax Photo is stocking polypropylene negative sleeves in sizes they used to only make on a custom basis. They also, of course, carry common sizes like 4x5, 5x7, and 8x10.
The larger sizes are:

Thank you! The 4x5 is made of 1/8 inch acrylic (Plexiglass) that I had on hand. I don't remember what adhesive I used—it was a long time ago— but I think probably Epoxy. The 4x10 tray is 1/8 PVC and...
Thanks!
I’m so glad the holders worked out well. Stay safe and well!
I made 2 slosher type trays, one for 4x5 and one for 4x10. I used them with Pyrocat HD and minimal agitation. I have since switched to a JOBO for the convenience and so I can also run C-41.
I'm using a JOBO with expert drums.
I think your list is good. I would add a dilute acetic acid stop after the developer to prevent streaks because the Champion bleach is not acidic like Kodak...
I received the developer today. It is a single component concentrate and separate starter. I got packaging to make 5 liters at a time. We'll see how it goes, although I'm not expecting any problems...
Please let us know what you find out
I bought the developer from Miami Digital— miamidigitalinc.com. I only bought developer as I had everything else on hand. Champion bleach has no acetic acid so a dilute acid stop bath I think will be...
Just like with black and white chemistry Kodak has supply issues with their color chemicals too. My supplier of C-41 suggested I try Champion chemistry instead of Kodak. He said that he has several...
Some questions—
What format are you shooting? 4x5, 8x10...
Are you contact printing or enlarging? Optical enlarger or scans? What size prints?
Almost no matter your answers I would use FP-4....

We have one of those in a park behind our home. Lots of kid books cycle through. I think they're a great idea as is Ms. Milrany's idea to make hers a gallery.

I would like to add that dumping warm moist air into a cold attic is not best practice. It is much better to exhaust to the great outdoors so moisture doesn't condense and cause havoc with the...
I have no experience with Pyrocat M, but use a lot of 4x5 T-Max 400 in Pyrocat HD in a JOBO Expert drum. I use 2 baths of developer, each for 1/2 of the time as I find that Pyrocat oxidizes rather...
You can contact Hugo Zhang who is the US rep for Chamonix cameras either here on the forum or at hugoz_2000 AT yahoo DOT com. I'm sure he can answer any questions you might have.
Thanks Oren! You're so much better at this stuff than I am...

Not quite. I have a 150mm Componon in a Compur shutter that I bought because it was cheap and looked like it had never been used. The lens works well at close distances, but is weaker at infinity...
I like to initially focus the camera halfway between near and far to get things roughly correct and then use a loupe to tweak the focus to where I want it. I agree with you Drew and like to keep the...

No one has mentioned yet that one of the benefits of a large format camera is the focus screen. After focusing the camera stop the lens down a couple or three stops and with a good quality loupe...

I know it's not a definitive answer, but I have used my Gitzo in temperatures down to -20 F or so without any issues. No issues with the tripod that is, I can't say the same for myself...
You're very welcome Mitch. I'm glad I could play a part in resolving your problem.
I’ve not used TF-5, but for years I used citric acid stop for prints, about 1 tablespoon per liter of water. No smell or fumes like acetic acid.
Take a look at Squarespace. It's easy to use and has templates that can be customized.
Mitch, I opened mine up and took a look for you. The top wire from the switch gets soldered to the bottom terminal of the ceramic block that is directly above the switch. The other wire is connected...
The camera and support certainly are nice, but I've been admiring the multi-drawer cabinet in the background. Sorry, I used to have an antiques business...
After reading the current discussion about the issues Koak/Alaris is having I thought it might be useful to gather together some recipes for easy to mix developers.
The simplest is probably D-23:...
