Some Saltzman pictures I found

Is the 4x10 bellows secured down here?

I use these in my photoflood reflectors. Good thing I stocked up a long time ago when they were $7. (Sarcasm alert...)

Reversal process?
May come back in style...:)

Stop down. Some great photographs have been made at f90 in 8x10.
Drew's comments about light falloff are very true. Realize, when looking at these graphs, they are normalized to 100% on the X-axis. The U-max (1/2 film diagonal) is set differently for each lens. To...
No question in my darkroom my Componon 240mm is not as sharp at the corners on a 16x20 projection when examined with my Peak 1 magnifier, compared to my 300mm lens. The 240 appears 'just ok' but the...
Look for a lens with the lensboard for your camera.
The ceramic resistor looks like it was getting pretty hot. Is the board up-side-down?
This is the main reason I don't currently own a 3d printer. What software are you using? How much did it cost? What computer platform?
I use that Fujinon 125 you mentioned with an 8x10 back. I got mine for about $400 a few years ago and they are pretty common. This is a modern design, multicoated lens, so it is a good choice if you...
How does one detect over-use movements? You the only thing I can think of is this effect below. Do all beginners still do this, I thought the fad wore off. In terms of rear rise, fall, or shift, how...
In six years you could have built an enlarger ;);)
If you are not sure of the make of shutter, opening it for repair may be a one-way ticket to a box of parts.
I scanned the thread because, as a Horseman FA user, I don't think it is the best. In fact it is pretty difficult to use a 65mm. It is doable, and there is a focus scale for 65mm lens on the camera,...
The 90mm Topcor is the same as the 90mm Caltar, except the rear barrel of the Caltar won't allow the lens fit through the opening in the front of the FA.

I have the 210mm Topcor and the 180mm Topcor and the 300mm converter for the 150. All are just as nice as any German lens I have ever used.
This is an example taken with the Topcor 210mm.

The widest Topcor they made for the FA was the 90mm. That is a very nice lens, perhaps my favorite for the camera. My 150mm Topcor would be second in line.
Only you can answer the question. After years of 4x5 photography, I know the answer when I printed my first 8x10 negative.
I have never used a dark cloth with my 4x5. I use a pop-out hood and long-reach loupe.
I'm not a big fan of expired film. I like to use it before it expires, rather than store it away. Fresh film is only a few clicks away on the internet.
Pretty much anything with clear glass that fits your lensboard in the 210 and 300 range would be great. You might have to look for a while. I think it took me about 6 months of scanning ebay to find...
The nominal inner diameter of the lenscap would be the outer diameter of the lens barrel. Every one of my Fujinon caps has this number molded in the plastic.
My 125mm Fujinon has 85 and 80 caps.
I'd have no idea. I think it has been at least ten since I spoke to anyone that also has a view camera.
Probably one of the easiest cameras to adjust rear rise to compensate, seeing as you can even view both images at the same time.
I think these startup projects will continue to improve in design and concept. I think people will see a successful startup and think 'I can do better than that' and things will continue to evolve. ...
The high readings wander or are inconsistent? I'm pretty sure I digitized the service manual and can send it.
How does it work? Do you mount that on the enlarger 90 degrees off when printing or something like that?
Is he selling his equipment. He must have some sort of standard illumination device for calibration and maybe a stash of galvometers and selenium cells as neither of those are repairable items and...
I have two Tobias and I'd not part with them. What exactly is wrong with yours? I was able to get parts for one of mine a few years ago right from Tobias as they are still in business.
Recently...
Some versions of the Super 150 show the image circle dimensions on the lens barrel. In that case 160mm image circle is for 6x9cm format, but will work on 4x5 without movements. However, are probably...
I think most 150mm lenses will fit the 8cmx8cm lensboards. The Horseman/Topcor 150mm lens is very nice if you can find one. Otherwise, any of the other major manufacturers lenses should be fine.

Send it to me and I'll check it :)
That is not the best picture because it mostly shows the CLS1840 head which was common to about five different enlargers.
Cleaning relay contacts is a pretty common thing keeping vintage HiFi gear running when the speaker protection circuit uses a relay. Do you know what is wrong with the relay? Relays are not that hard...
Can you show a picture? I'm not familiar with the "Stades 1800" but maybe it shares components with the Larano 1840 for which I have schematics.
8x10 I have only ten. I got 4 new ones when they were still available, some of the rest are like new, so were very expensive, that is why so few. My 8x10 bag holds three at a time. That works out OK...
