Try looking up "drayage" in the yellow pages near you.
This is good news, thanks for letting us know.
It sounds like a CLA should take care of the problem.
If you have a distillation setup, that'd be the way to go for mixing your chems.
It would have to be American.
If it were Japanese, it'd be Gojira.
It looks like it's up to you, Drew!

I've had a couple B&J Press cameras.
Front tilt, sturdy, self-casing with the right lenses,
revolving back, commonly-available lens boards,
What's not to like?
If they had a focal plane shutter,...
Wow, that's quite a project!
If it were mine, that old leather would be gone in a heartbeat, after using it to make a pattern from.
There might be nice mahogany wood underneath...maybe. If so,...
If you go to the Lenses and Accessories subforum, one of the first entries is a wealth of information about cameras, lenses and accessories...the cameraeccentric listings are excellent.

I went to Yosemite once, in 1990.
I took a lot of photos, medium format and 35mm.
Most were interesting ideas at the time, due to...being in Yosemite.
After processing the film, most of my images...

Make it your "signature" lens!
It can be your schtick!
:)
If you find yourself not going out to take photos because of the "hassle factor" of the Linhof, then by all means you should find a camera that will be more user-friendly in the field.
I have no...
The ground glass lacks four corners for two reasons:
One is to prevent the bellows from expanding or collapsing when focusing. Some cameras have tight tolerances, almost air-tight.
The other reason...
Is the shutter a Copal #1?
Some Copal #1's used by Fuji had an M-X switch.
It doesn't sound like a flash sync-specific problem, it sounds like the shutter could use a CLA.

Welcome!
Fellow Graphic user here...
Lots of good info and knowledgeable people here.
Enjoy!
I'm new to LF photography.
I just bought a carbon fiber 8x10 camera, and an APO 58mm f1.2 lens, because the internet said it was the bestest.
I am having trouble focusing it, because the image is...

I bought a "plain" 150mm (?) Sironar in a partially-working shutter at a camera swap meet for $20. The seller was upfront about it, said it was junk. I bought it for the shutter, and threw the...
Is that Rodenstock Sironar, (plain , not -N)?
I had the same issue, and it is de-cementing.
Are you referring to the white specks, or the rainbow?

Beautiful, Merg!
When was that photo made?
When using a box cutter/ utility knife, make many shallow passes, don't try to make the cut in one pass.
Large format. :)

Outstanding!
My Radar fits in all my #5 Alphax/Betaxes.
But it looks like you got it figured out!
Congrats!
I have a Radar 8x10 f4.5 in Betax #5, and another #5 Betax...I will compare fit when I get home from work today
That camera has the more useful "Graflok" back, not the spring or "Graphic" back.
Roll-film adapters, etc. are more plentiful and easier to use with the Graflok, so that's a plus.
That is hilarious, Bruce!
Great concept and execution.
Hi,
That looks like a 4x5 Crown Graphic, with a 127mm f4.7 Kodak Ektar lens in a Synchro-Compur shutter.
