  3. Re: Doubts about Schneider Tele-Xenar 360mm 5.5

I've received the ring from Rafcamera, put it on the rear cell and adjust to 110mm overall length.
Now the image on the GG is sharp (it was very soft before and overall length was 102,5mm)....

Re: 2 sheets of film in the same holder?

You can eliminate back side emulsion
Less density (more exposure needed) but more sharpness.

Does anyone know if they can be found, built at home or change the camera back to accept standard...

Pending is the locking system. By now I'd use rubber bands....

Mine is Micro Technical Mark VIII.
I have 3 original boards but the most lenses are mounted in homemade boards. I make them from dm with glued natural calibrated cork rails.

  12. Re: Doubts about Schneider Tele-Xenar 360mm 5.5

    Very interesting.
Your shutter is some kind of hybrid. Mine is labeled as Copal 3 but threads are 56x0.75 (3s).

    Edit.
Can you help me measuring f-stop numbers in this copal 3. I would need...
  13. Re: Doubts about Schneider Tele-Xenar 360mm 5.5

    Thanks Daniel.
I've written a WTB announce in the forum some days ago but it seems something not easy at all.

  14. Re: Doubts about Schneider Tele-Xenar 360mm 5.5

I have tested (loupe on the gg) the lens against other mounted on Compound iii. My lens is totally soft on the copal 3 but when mounted on this compound it turns sharp as the other lens. It seems...
  15. Re: Doubts about Schneider Tele-Xenar 360mm 5.5

You're right. I found in this book that "3" is the name that Mr. W. Voigt give to Compur Electronic 3. So it refers to the availability of the lens in both compound iii and compur electronic 3.

    I have found a table that says Compound III / 7 + 3.

What does that "+ 3" mean?

    Re: Reversal vs negative

I rarely use color negative but lots of chromes. Neither on 4x5. I use Fuji and kodak chromes on 35mm, 645, 66 and 67. I love them

    Price is my principal "con".

  25. Re: A DIY 177mm f/8 Cooke triplet for 4x5 from off-the shelf lenses that YOU can bui

    Hello.

How would a Rapid Rectilinear design compare to this Cooke Triplet?
I'm planning to build a very simple compact long focus RR. I don't have lenses longer than 300mm. I'm wondering how...
  26. Re: Does changing aperture move the focus point

  33. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

I was thinking in coating after processing, not before. So would be necessary to develop the film with extreme care. When dry I would spray one or both layers. This could help to handle the negatives...
