Think it needs a little WD40 around each end of the pin then left to soak overnight then a copper & hide hammer with punch as suggested.
I would not advise drilling out the pin because you run the risk of damage to the shaft or gear. That being siad, if you do have to drill it out try a cobalt drill.

There is bound to be a solution to this where you can replace tracks and cog for a large toothed rack and driving gear which would be more of an "upgrade" rather than a "replacement", for a fraction...

I factored in my self, then I tested.
Did not collapse or break.
Loosened a few parts for smoother operation, good enough.
After using WD40 it for many years I have only ever used it as a penetrating fluid, in some places they call it "loose-all" due to it being able to loosen almost anything.
Before using it I would...
Much the same, I like to secure bits of hardwood with micro spectacle screws after creating a hole win a cobalt pin drill, these type of fasteners are very inexpensive on the bay. I think they are...
try google "Micro Self Tapping Brass"
I always like to drill a hole before I drill the hole, a whole lot better hole.

To the OP,
Because you have mentioned a specific make of low cost camera I feel it is worth saying that if you have access to basic tools and a little time to research the appropriate bits on this...

It's probibly worth mentioning that it is very cheap to light a room up with infra-red if you buy a few "48 led" spot lights from the auction site.
