i think it need calibration. when you meter in a dark camera (no light at all) it will max out the reading on both scales. battery meter reading looks good. I played with the calibration points...

I do have other meter but would love to get this working again. the needle does move but it just maxes out the meter while in and pitch black environment. I'll try them, thanks for the info!
Anyone know a repair shop for old light meters? the one in Hollywood closed a few years ago and i'd like to get this fixed, its a sinarsix gossen. Gossen wont help but at least spoke with the factory...
Thanks but i have the manual (and understand it) and the meter is inserted properly and there is no light getting into the camera... i'm looking to see if its repairable with much effort on my part...
I have a sinarsix that has a new battery and when i meter in the camera with shutter closed the meter max's out to the right... anyone know a fix to this or is it junk?

Here is a photo of a 5x7 back that has 2 plate holder extensions. the issue is when placed vertically it interferes with the slide lock and it prevents the back from seating into the rear frame...
