Wow. An assistant couldn't figure out where flare was coming from?
I would hope it was a very unusual, hard to trace source of flare, like the sun reflecting off of a car windshield two blocks...

  4. Re: "New" Agfa Ansco 8x10 Universal Back Mounting Issue

It looks to me like the bottom support wood is damaged and at an angle...it appears that the clips are straight.
That would explain why the top clips are missing the mark by 1/2"

    Re: PC Sync to flash?

The PC circuit in a LF shutter is just a normally-open switch that closes momentarily to complete a circuit. Same with most mechanical-shutter cameras.

Re: Crown Graphic w/ Missing Back Parts

  28. Re: Just bought a Wollensak 127mm f/4.5 Raptar Lens w/ Alphax Synchromatic Shutter ..

CLA = Clean, Lube & Adjust.

Old shutters become unreliable over time if not "exercised"...the lubricants congeal and become hard or sticky, causing problems.
  29. Re: Just bought a Wollensak 127mm f/4.5 Raptar Lens w/ Alphax Synchromatic Shutter ..

I used a 3 1/2" (90mm) Wollensak Raptar in a Rapax on my CC-400, with a recessed lens board. You could probably find one for around $150 these days. Older shutters will probably need a CLA, so you...

Reusing chemicals, particularly developer, is false economy, considering the cost of film and your time spent shooting...or re-shooting.
