It is Ken. Today was absolutely gorgeous, and I was out all day counting 79 species of birds.

Re: Lens Aperture vs Meter Reading

I would think of those in terms of either 1/2 stops or 1/3 stops. Of course I shoot negative film, not digital, so close enough works sufficiently. In your example, I would take f 6.8 to be close...

Let me add my appreciation to QT and the moderators, past and present, for making this site a touchstone for me and many others.

    Re: omega Condensor or Dichroic

I have that enlarger, and it’s a pleasure to use. You can dial in the contrast using the Y and M in the same way you would have used filters in the past, but you can easily get in between values,...

    Re: Interested in 4 x 5

A 150 is generally the same as a 50mm on small format. A 210 is good to start with, for portraits and some landscapes. You will probably want something wider, so you might end up not even getting a...

Thanks Tuco. I’ve enjoyed your recent contributions to this thread.

    +1 Austin!
Thanks JP. Here’s another in the same spot. This was the old route across the Taconic Range, and probably would have been clear cut and overrun with sheep in the 19th century.

I took a hike yesterday, and thought I had some nice pictures, but this roll of PanF, like many of my Ilford 120 rolls from last year, has the backing problem. I’m bummed....

Re: Urgent need help to develop my film

That is just fine. Don’t increase the time. That will only overcook the highlights. You have plenty of shadow detail already.
