    That's great. Have fun!
  9. Re: Rebuilding a Deardorff 11x14 Studio Stand

That's what I think, too. Amazon has quite a selection. It looks like most have to have a set screw drilled and tapped to hold knob to the spindle.

That's great progress! I hope the move goes well. If I was closer, I'd come help. My progress is no where near as dramatic. I hope to spend some time cleaning the studio today, such that I'll be...

If one can't find a Jobo TBW-2, a sous vide device should do the same thing.
  21. Re: The real difference between RH ANAYLSER PRO and STOPCLOCK PROFESSIONAL

I have a Stopclock pro, which is terrific. I had the companying enlarging meter for awhile, but I didn't use it much. The terrific step exposure ability of the Stopclock made the meter unnecessary...

Why not message the inventor? That would be Chris Woodhouse, the co-author of Way Beyond Monochrome.

Great use of motion blur, Tuco. I've tried this a bit myself, and getting the right amount of blur is tricky!

I would say no. If you've been using it for years successfully, then you should be fine. It's always possible that your water will change, but it's also possible to get contaminated distilled...

Ken gives good advice...and takes excellent pictures!
  38. Re: For macro lenses on 4x5in cameras, what focal length is most useful?

Some of the lenses suggested are very expensive at the moment. I agree whole-hardheartedly about giving regular, enlarging, or graphic arts lenses a try. Working at 1x magnification is challenging,...
