Re: Clarification of FS/WTB bumping rules

Over the years, we've tried a wide range of options with FS/WTB, from very little regulation to considering deleting the section altogether. While allowing discussions inside FS/WTB threads was often...

    Re: Isn't there a "For Sale" sub-forum?

If you are "perpetually" logged in, try logging off, then logging back in. Then, go to the main index by clicking on the forum logo, and scroll down to see the for-sale sub-forum.
  4. Re: Access to classified sections for new members

Oren is the most active moderator, but policies are determined by a consensus between the three of us, plus the owner, when appropriate.
  5. Re: Access to classified sections for new members

Among other things, the 30-day waiting period allows the new member to participate in discussions, which allows others to determine whether they want to do business with them.

Wonderful idea, although I won't be able to attend.

Where, exactly, are you gathering in Brattleboro?

    Re: Forum Improvements Today?

Tom is working on server changes that should improve overall system reliability. These changes won't have any effect on the forum software, however.
  11. Re: Problem posting a small image from my computer

The PM system is designed for conversations involving short text messages. If you need to send images, or large amounts of text, it is best to move the conversation to e-mail.
  12. Re: Problem posting a small image from my computer

As I recall PMs have always been restricted to text only, due to storage limitations. The URL insert doesn't store the image, so that is permitted.
  13. Re: Problem posting a small image from my computer

The image options seem to be working for me. How are you attempting to insert/append the image? From the "insert image" icon in the edit window tool bar, or from the "Manage Attachments" tab in the...
  14. Re: Where can I find the want-buy and For-sale sub forum

    Welcome, Sherry.

    From the Usage Guidelines:

    Buy-Sell Sub-forums

Classifieds (for sale, for trade, or wanted ads) should only be posted in the appropriate sub-forum, which is open only to...

Roger is correct. Please read the forum description, and the guidelines pertaining to the buy/sell sub-forums. The rules are strictly enforced to avoid chaos.

Of course you can reply - just that it is now via PM or e-mail, so the reply doesn't act to bump the thread in those searches that are activity sensitive.
