I use a Lisand 7jr video tripod with a Baco tilt head. The ball on the tripod let’s you level as desired, and the tilt head allows tilting downward. Both tend to be extremely inexpensive with a...

  3. Re: How to mount fresnel lens on a Sinar 8x10 Norma?

Greg, from memory as mine is packed away at the moment, the 8x10 fresnel fits just the same way as the 4x5 version. Metal frame and clip to hold it in place.

Re: Ideal lens set for a 4x5 field camera

My typical field outfit is 65/90/150/210/300, they just fit (on sinar boards) in the bottom of a large ammo box type dry box, with the F, bellows, meter and filters on top. Makes for a nice,...

Re: Specs for Sinar Pan Tilt Head

Neil, a 4-40 Allen head screw is the right size for the slots on the Sinar clamp. I'd think a few brews for a local machinist would gain you two easily removed indexing pins in your Ries head. I did...

    Re: Sinar F2, P, C, or Toyo 45G?

The 405 fits well on a Sinar back. Just press the two silver tabs and slide the ground glass back off then use the Graflok slides to hold it.

It's ok Jac, in today's post modern aesthetic, art is whatever you say it is..(add air quotes and a bit of a sarcastic chuckle as needed)

My 120/8 fujinon works quite well on 8x10, with some movements. I don't shoot chromes but I haven't ever noticed significant falloff in my negatives.
