It also needs to run on 50hz down there or times will be 20% off.
  2. Re: Bellows Extension Factor & Flash Photography

Moving the strobe in or out will also change the sharpness of your light.

    Re: glass neg carrier

There can’t be extra dust. The same amount of dust falls on a Negaflat as on a glass carrier. It just doesn’t prevent popping as well as a glass carrier.

Re: Artifex beta 8x10 daylight tank

No, just two versions of the 45; the TAnd the L. And the same in 57.
The T versions were made for daylight processing and there was no way that we could design a lid that would not fall off from the...

Re: Good light lens for 8x10’

How helpful can it be when in left out mainstream lenses? How helpful is a test that is unreliable and unreproducable?

If you wanted a list of specs look to the old B&H or Calumet listings. They...

But there were an awful lot of lenses that were current in 2002 that he never listed so it is at best an incomplete list of dubious tests of mainly used lenses of unknown history using non repeatable...

  19. Re: Rare Rodenstock APO-Sironar W 300mm F5.6 MC Lens

That is the original version of the W. Weren’t all that rare. We sold a lot of them to dealers in the USA. Especially Ken Hansen. Must be a lot of keepers out there, but the N and the S easily...
  20. Re: Rare Rodenstock APO-Sironar W 300mm F5.6 MC Lens

Never changed the glass, just the name addition and eventually the barrel striping.
  21. Re: Rare Rodenstock APO-Sironar W 300mm F5.6 MC Lens

Yes, when the S came out the Apo Sironar became the W. The Sironar N MC became the Apo Sironar N and the Apo Sironar S was brought out. And would eventually replace them.

    Re: Question about Linhof tripod

Yes, we sold them. It has spreadable legs without detaching the struts like the others in the series. The black version was the latest. The upper locks on the legs control the leg spread angle.

You could just cut a piece of film to slip into your accessory shoe to insulate it.

  32. Re: Seeking a newer 4x5 camera for mostly landscape

Other then time or expense there is no reason For your Technika not having the proper cams. Service makes them very quickly for them very quickly for the V and Master.
  33. Re: Linhof Master Technika and Lee Grad filters

Unscrew the accessory shoe on top of the camera. That will give you a second tripod socket that lets you mount the camera upside down, if that would help.

  35. Re: Seeking a newer 4x5 camera for mostly landscape

Except newer ones have more movements then older ones and cam coupling a V or Master is much easier then an older version.

  37. Re: Centre filters for UWA lens - rear element instead of front

You should focus with the filter in place. Especially as some cheaper filters can play havoc with focus.
  38. Re: Centre filters for UWA lens - rear element instead of front

No, you focus with the filter in place as it is part of the optical system of the lens, if a filter came with the lens from the manufacturer. Otherwise you would be out of focus by the amount the...
  39. Re: Centre filters for UWA lens - rear element instead of front

So did a 300mm Nikon which was not a reflex design. Heliopan even made a polarizer in a drawer for it.
